In Gta San Andreas the city's just ended. There was no suburbia and to me this was a let down. Now that the Gta series has come a long way will they go for the realistic suburbia or just city to country in one small jump? I'm sure a lot of fans would like to see some sprawling city streets instead of just center city. Although i know this change would be for the better i'm not exactly sure how they could pull it off without it looking like all the rest. Also: i had a picture ready but couldnt post it, maybe a map of los santos would help? Feel free to post what you want to see done for gta V

If it does, I just hope it doesn't take up a big portion of the map. I'm not a fan of adding much emphasis on the suburbs since it's just rows and rows of the same style house. Suburbia just doesn't fill me with wonder like the countryside does, nor does it impress me like the amount of interesting architecture that can be found throughout the rest of the city.

AGREED 110 % onestly the suburbs are boring. Without re-posting what i've quoted. It's just row after row of nothing just houses,. I dunno i find it boring

If suburbs aren't in the game though, I'll be mad since they're a big part of Southern California culture. San Andreas was also a large let down for me when it came to suburban-countryside divide.

suburbs are fun if you can rob houses.

but suburbs should not take up a huge amount of map, maybe 1 or 2 fairly large suburban areas, nothing overly major. id prefer to see more ghetto.

V better have suburbia since it comprises most of LA. And LA suburbs aren't necessarily boring. They have a lot more flavor than the average suburb and they aren't just made up of cookie-cutter housing. Also consider that the fact that LA suburbs hardly share a homogenous culture, being that they're made up of many Asian, Black, Hispanic, and Caucasian cultures.

There was some outskirts in SA but yes you are right, it wasn't gradual or very noticeable.

I really think we will see and be able to own a house in the 'burbs.

We will have property in the inner city as well. Hopefully we will know more soon.

Great points here. The suburbs surrounding L.A. consist of more than just houses. L.S.'s suburbs (especially the Valley) still have lots of gang presence and are as diverse as NY. I'm hoping for the San Fernando Valley to the north and Orange County to the south...

Be creative, people. Suburbia is a great place for carnage. Imagine enterable interiors like shopping malls, gas stations, grocery stores, houses, mansions. Lots of potential there.

I just want a diverse map that feels like Cali. Urban areas, suburban sprawls, small towns, mountains, beach areas, desert, islands. This diversity (suburbs in particular) will make V feel more authentic than SA.
