Easily GTA III. I love the fact that your trying to work your way up through the criminal underworld, working for the people that want you dead. I'm amazed it hasn't had more votes.

Going for IV. I know GTA 3 should come 3rd and SA 2nd but GTA IV was amazing! Well, based on gameplay, I would go for GTA SA. GTA VC will come 4th for it's gameplay but it can be with GTA 3. Not much good ending of VC because I wished Diaz would have been alive. GTA IV surely brought some sad faces when Kate died but Roman's humour kept me happy. biggrin.gif

2. GTA VC = the story is like old school classic movies (e.g scarface)

3. GTA SA = idk what to say, the story quite good smile.gif

It's a tie between V.C.S and IV for me. (Spoliers)

The relationship romance
Unlike most people I enjoyed Louise and Vic's relationship and really believed their was something special their unlike kate and niko which was clearly never going to work. This isn't a game about love stories but the fact i want Vic and Louise to be together says alot about the writing and storyline. Because i'm the last guy in the word to care about that sh*t. But it worked in this game so hats off to them

The deaths
I cant be a fair judge on this because when i played throw IV the first time it was with a mate and believe it or not i f*cking missed romans death. I was up getting a cup of tea or something. So i never trully saw his death ''live'' on tv. so i cant be a fair judge. I near cryed when Louise died so it would of been hard to top that anyway. But it was Roman so it's hard to say

The ending.
V.C.S without question. I think the reason i highly rate v.c.s so much is the ending. Unlike every other gta this game truly has a proper ending answering all questions. I love how the game doesn't just end with one final mission it happens over the last two or 3. IV does this too. But i was alot more emotionally invovled in V.C.S it just felt more personal ( Once again the death is the most important part and i missed it the first time in iv so i'm being unfair)

Also in the last mission niko's hysterical crying is a bit of a turn off. Dont get me wrong it's understanable and all but it's a bit much

Where's vic has pure RAGE towards mendez it makes the mission so much more enjoyable because you see both sides of vic. When his talking to diaz and phil you can see just how much his hurting and his near crying when his talking to phil about louise which gets you in but as soon as the shooting starts it's all buisness and the tone and way vic is yelling really sums up just how pissed of you are at that maggot

I still consider it a tie because without truly experiencing romans death it kinda makes it hard to say just how emotinal i would of got and that's the crucial part of the story

I voted San Andreas, really overall IV would come first for me. However with R* taking a very different route with IV I have to judge it seperately.

The reason I voted SA is because I just feel like they got the balance right. The story was apart of everything else in the game, it tied together with everything. In some ways while playing IV I felt like the story was completely seperate from everything else. In SA the gangs were around, the casinos were around, people who relied on your sucess in the story. The theme of the game was perfect, it not only captured the 90's LA gang scene perfectly but it was really gripping with a balance of fun missions and really personal ones that made you care about what you were doing. Scenes like where you're reunited with Sweet, it was a big deal. Or in the last mission, you had built up to that moment throughout the game and it was satisfying and felt worth it. So I chose SA because I feel the story complimented everything that was great about the game.

IV's story was epic, even on it's own without everything else. I could happily read IV's story as a book or watch it as a movie. The struggle as an immigrant chasing a dream that doesn't exist, it was perfect. It was gritty, it was challenging, and you didn't always walk away feeling like a boss. You suffered the consequences. IV wasn't glorifying being a criminal, you worked your way to the top - which left you in a no better position than when you started. There was no rags to riches, there was a realistic look on crime and the suffering involved. What was especially great about the story is that Niko came to LC to escape his violent past and escape his enemies, not to create new ones. He was a reluctant criminal and that made it all the more gripping for me.

I really can't truly criticise any R* storyline, GTA or non GTA. They never dissapoint me, but those two really stand out.

I don't like GTA IV storyline that much because it's all killing for money.
