So I've been stuck on the dam & blast for about two weeks. I picked up a backpack with a parachute but every time I go to the jump site the triangle doesn't change to a square and I try to jump out but it won't allow me to for it keep showing my SMG and I want to know am I not doing something right or do I have pick something up or wait? Because then after a while I crash so someone please help me for it has become very frustrating.

You trigger the mission in the Casino.
You Drive to the airport.
You take the Dakota which is waiting on the runway.
You take off and fly in slow half circle as you climb toward the triangle marker.
When you see the Corona you fly into it.
The Game will tell you to exit the plane at which time you will open your parachute after gliding (sky diving) toward the marker pylon.
If you land in the water instead of the quay it will look like CJ has lost his weapons. He Hasn't they are merely disabled until the mission is finished. If you go and buy more then you will lose them.
You must take the offered knife waiting on the quay to begin the second part of the mission.

I did to the triangle but no corona shows up. At least I don't see it.

Keep circling upward until the up-triangle becomes a square, then you'll be on the same level as the corona. If it turns into a down-arrow then you have some extra altitude. Do your circles a little ways away and head towards the corona once you have the proper altitude.

It helps a lot to raise the landing gear.

The corona is very high up, I never managed to get to it in first go; usually I steadily climb up all the way from the airport, then I can just about see it in the clouds and then I do a circle above the desert still climbing up and then make sure the plane stays level with the corona for me to fly through.
