Is this mod compatible with the GTA Trilogy version of Vice City ?
Vice City is discontinued so I can't buy it...

When was it released?

Run gta-vc.exe from a terminal/ command line window.

C:/ path to your gta install/gta-vc.exe -version

Or

C:/ path to your gta install/gta-vc.exe -v

You can also open VC in a window by typing

C:/ path to your gta install/gta-vc.exe -window

The version should be shown.

I have had no problem getting Vice City from Play.com

The game can also be downloaded from Rockstar Games store, but if you want a disk you could always ask them via their tech support system.

Just email them and say you want to buy the game.

It doesn't work. The version is not written anywhere. Actually, the Trilogy as been release in 2009. The game crashes when I start a new game.

You can buy all GTAs on the Steam, an online kind-of gaming store from Valve.

It's not hard to mod, it's just the matter of EXE. Use a *crack* and everything will be fine.

Talking about CD or Game *cracks* or any topic of the likes is not welcome here! or anywhere on GTAForums!.

I am best to get the game version from steam and sort that out once and for all.

I think the game its self is packed different from how it was on the original game disks, it bothers me that no one has posted any information on this.

Nope, the only difference is an EXE. I own it and I use it at the moment, everything is compatible (with my custom EXE).

Its true No-CD cracked exes are widely used by anyone whether it is right or wrong and how one gets access to these exes - I do not care. the discussion on this site (GTANet) is forbidden, such talk on the matter is discouraged.
