Please report your bugs here:

When reporting your bugs be as detailed as possible: This will help us fix these issues faster.
  • We want location and how you got to find the bug.
  • Information on the bug.
  • Map coords if possible and picture.
Also take into account not everything will be a bug and the best example is Red Dead, R* kept some of these bugs for fan amusement.

I have noticed a lot of map bugs especially in SA area. Most of the LOD models acts like a normal model, and they don't disappear even when the player is near them.

I'm using "vanilla" EXE based installation.


DevConsole.exe helps.

I don't know if this is a user side thing or if you already know about it but the LODs seem to be completely broken for me. Almost all newly created map objects (such as Mainland Liberty and other custom maps) don't have a LOD at all and can only be seen when moved close to causing the actual full-detail model to load.
All LODs on Rockstar created maps (Liberty City, San Andreas, Vice City) seem to turn on and off such as what Swoorup said;

My PC specs are well above the requirements and my OS is Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

I am going to be replacing all the LODs soon.

Can you help with mapping? or at least helping me fix bugs, this would be an assit to me.

I do have a bugs board you can work from if your interested.

The 2rd island is being worked on by me..

It's starting the take shape, so all those old issues will be fixed.

The radar at that point is missing textures but I could'not get a crash.

Also X-seti, are the draw distance still needed to be lowered down? I am having massive lags when viewing MLL and SA from high up in a helicopter.

Yeah, also the reason of lower FPS is High Poly LOD Surface. It need to make as standard object, for Surface lod - optimize polygons and make the texture 32x32 or 64x64.

See I get random crashes, but when I try to duplicate them it doesn't crash. DevConsole doesn't seem to load half the time on my system But who cares.
