"GTA IV Has Stopped Working"?

Player Hater Group: Members Joined: Oct 22, 2011	This is PC and I have I have a Sony VAIO F Series VPCF136FDB and Intel Core i7 CPU, 6GB of 1333MHz DDR3 RAM (8GB Max), and a 640GB, 5400rpm SATA HDD.Hi I need help with my GTA IV I downloaded from Amazon.com on my Windows 7 Home Premium Laptop.When it was done downloading I installed it, and ran it for the first time so I pushed Run As Administartor and It started up. I then hit start in the menu and once it got past the characters loading then it sayed "please Wait' with a black screen. But it just kept saying that but then it came up and said "Grand Theft Has Stopped Working" and Below that it says " Windows is checking for a solution". Thanks

Group: Moderators Joined: Apr 20, 2006	Patch 7 - http://games.softpedia.com/get/Patch/Grand...-IV-Patch.shtml GFWL update - http://www.rockstargames.com/support/IV/PC/GFWLupdate/ Install these two things and make sure your video drivers are updated. Check if the game works then. If still no dice, try running the game in XP SP3 or Vista SP1/SP2 compatibility modes.
