| QUOTE (atfburner @ Monday, Feb 13 2012, 01:07) | | QUOTE (X-Seti @ Thursday, Feb 9 2012, 16:10) | An Open Door policy will be in place where people can come and join in without commitment to being on a team where I will offer leadership like in any project or in time someone else can take leadership from me so the project can continue on. |
This sounds more interesting, but how are you planning on achieving a current and well organized job list which we can pick assignments when it is based on rules flexible as these?
Also, when can we see exactly what you need doing.
When will the files be ready for everyone to explore through?
Personally im looking to add some parts in VC which you have already seen a little of and probably a lot of stuff that i just want to dump on your project for someone else to integrate as i don't have much time. Sounds harsh but it'll be worth it i promise! | Handling jobs. I think the best way is to let you (Other members) choose what task or bug is to be fixed. Post this on here to let others know what your working on (Picture and Description) Once we get things in full swing - I can sort out a board, maybe here in the hosted mods section only if the board Admins would be kind enough to assist us, This would save a 230+ Page thread like last time. I would like ideas on running the team, I want this to be an open forum where we all have our say. I am talking to VC-0 about releasing the old SOL-Online content to show you what would have been, this would help me in the meantime as I am still working on the hacks, other then just using the old 51.9 exe (updated) I really want to get the files out as soon as possible.

Updates of my own, Exe hacking is going slow since I do not seem to have all the source however I am cleaning up the map files before I release them. I am amazed at those images Atfburner, We have the moditorium.net board however I would like the bunk of the project communcations on this thread. But we also need a bug tracker, I will look into this later today since it is 2am for me. Edit: I am drawling over what could be done to Mainland Liberty just looking at that lighting. Well done. Edit: I should be trying to sleep, now I am thinking about just dumping the files on rapidshare or some other hosting company, I will talk to DECEiFER about using the old dev board, this has a bug tracker from the beta testers. And you can clearly see what has to be done. This post has been edited by X-Seti on Tuesday, Feb 14 2012, 02:12

| QUOTE | | I think X-Seti is waiting a little bit, he has only just started this after the VC-O & SOL Split. |
I'm sure, that would require messing up with a lot of files and porting them separately. | QUOTE | It would be nice for a SOL Forum section on here, It would probably be best to try and build some attention again in this topic and then start that up. |
I believe in the same thing. It would be great to have SOL hosted. | QUOTE (ALMOST610) |
| QUOTE | | From what im doing, i see that it would be nice if there is people who can model cars in 3/VC/SA style/resolition/quality. |
That is what I am doing, I will base all of mine on already existing III/VC/SA Cars but if I could make something brand new it would be good, but would be time consuming for me. |
I volunteered for the job too. If you already have it, then you may continue. However if X-seti permits, then I can re-texture the cars, so that you can remodel them. I could make a small starter script with random spawns and pickups. Edit: I think someone should design a few supporter graphics in form of avatars and signature bars for the mod. | QUOTE (AlfredNTheFettuc @ Tuesday, Feb 14 2012, 12:18) | | For a VC mod, VC-style cars will fit. Keep in mind that cars in SA were much more detailed and in different style (less textures, more vertex paint to allow more colors). |
This may be a VC mod, but the aim is to make most of VC engine. So a complete re-texturing of cars and little re-modelling would make them stable to look for a particular era. Edit: Thanks X-seti. I will work on few custom scripts ATM. I will try for a few scratch models if possible. I had re-textured the Liberty city cars to look 90ish. I will re-work on them and convert them for SOL. Then somebody can remodel the dff, if they want to. I think ALMOST610 can do it better. This post has been edited by Stentrion on Tuesday, Feb 14 2012, 12:41

Now that I mention it, what era is this supposed to take place in? It'd be odd to see 1980's, 1990's and 2000's clash with each other, so it needs one timeline.

We can both work on them, X-Seti plans to include the III, VC & SA Cars, Plus I am going to try and make some more in general using Current Vehicles as a base and then Modifying the Hell out of them. I dont know if the cars are going to need Retexturing as that would take them out of there Original GTA Style. But we will have to see what X says About it.

A little texturing would gives us a new base for trying the hell out for new models. I want to hear X-seti's opinion.
