| QUOTE (Dr-Mayhem111 @ Sunday, Apr 29 2012, 12:31) | Joe finally took care of Vic. Vic disrespected Omerta so of course it was a matter of time for him to die.
S2E4 is great. I love how you build up the drama for us to wonder what was going to happen next. Really great work. Great acting and dialogue. I can't wait for the next episode. |
Part of the oath sworn is to take the family before his own, which means that since his brother went against the family it was his duty to put him on ice. Even though the guy was his younger brother. That there is a perfect example of Joe's integrity and honour towards the family he's sworn to protect. This episode was one of the better ones, especially after we've just introduced another faction (Schottler Shottaz). However I will admit this, we screwed up on the drive-by scene. Those are always fairly difficult to film. Some people may find it slow but it isn't your generic machinima that has no story and a sh*t load of action scenes. For a Youtube series the story is quite complex and deep, in fact I've written it to be like a movie (For example; The Departed, Goodfellas, Reservoir Dogs to name a few). Each episode is laid out like a chapter in a movie (like most films by Quinton Tarantino). One particular thing I like to pay attention too while writing the dialogue is making sure it feels natural and not as if it's being read off a script. My personal favorite scenes of dialogue is the narration for Season2. It's almost like it's foreshadowing and reminiscing about the past. Another great scene is the last scene of Episode3 of Season1 "Lead Rain in Purgatory". The two Triads walking along and discussing how angered they are becoming of the Black Chapters repeated failures. The next episode I can tell you already a lot is going to happen EDIT: Also another great scene is the alleyway scene in Episode2 of Season1 "Repercussions". Where Jimmy and Lorenzo have Cyrus cornered in the alley. That is a perfect example of traditional Mafioso intimidation. Not telling the guy what they will do to him but rather make low-key suggestions and let his imagination run wild so he pretty much tells himself to talk before something bad "could" happen to him. One of the more psychological scenes. This post has been edited by Mr White0161 on Sunday, Apr 29 2012, 21:31
