GTA2 is played in Anywhere City, USA right? It reached its 10 year anniversary long ago, but the GTA2 ERA still don't have any other game that refers to it. SAD.
GENTLEMEN, BEHOLD!! MY NEW PROJECT!

NEWEST FEATURES: -finished the whole map of South Town (still needs some improvements. those are big work, ill put them for later) -6p multiplayer support! -balanced gameplay -lots of epic stunts (with cars provided) -big spaces to drive (now less than before) -expanded the main area to the west, now its 1,5x bigger! -airport improvements -finished up most of the map bugs -the whole map is heavily scripted (2x more items compared to Downtown) -a hint: 3 tanks available, and only one of them is easy to find, one at a roof, the last is very hidden -etc.
ALSO A GOOD NEW: Now I'm working on the HILLS district! Palmont City from NFS:Carbon!!

@ludi911 GOOD GOD THANK YOU! These logos are AWESOME!! I prefer using the first one, thats classical and badass =). Also the others are perfect for menu theme and for ingame usage =) THANKS!
Alpha v0.3's features will be uploaded soon, you will be amazed! -AssainGuy
hmm I think you're right about my signature its peally big =) i've got some problems with the menu design for alpha 0.4. if i edit the .tga files of the menu, they won't show up. just black. i'm not good at photoshop and stuff like that can you help me with that? -AssainGuy
@ludi911 here you go: https://rapidshare.com/files/3310372160/menu.rar the original .tga files and the origial files converted to .bmp the first or the second logo for main menu, and the third one for the district selector if you can i've got some plans for the last one ))

Preview of first menu. On the right side will be part of actual game map (i dont have one soo its blank now ) The left side look like GTA2 HD but i wanted to create the "Welcome Back" feeling. Others will be more "new". or ?

sorry for duble post. edit: to not waste post I will write something I also think this track will be cool for menu theme E-Z Rollers Play Something Jazzy EZ rollers made the orginal GTA 2 menu music "Short Change". This track is also bassed on jazz elements. It somehow similar but totally different. I also think New radios should contain a lot of UK underground music (DMA was from the UK and besides music from the UK is the best)

Where'd u get the picture of the right side? The paper lookin' thing, did you make it yourself or did you find it on the internet and stick logo and stuff on?
@ludi911 WOW man, that's epic! EPICly awesome! After I'll figure out how to convert it to proper .tga format that gta 2 likes, it will be in-game! also, that's very good for some menu music. looks like i have to add some kinda credits for this mod =) me for mapping, you for epic 2d stuff
btw, have you tried the demo? it will work, but i'm not sure those are all the files you need.
@ludi911 i need help with these stupid .tga images! i downloaded your menu style and cut it into correct sized pieces, then converted it to .tga with format factory, and i did the same in GIMP 2.0 TOO! ITS JUST BLACK! GTA2 doesn't wants us to mod itself. like what happened to the custom radios. it makes them corrupt. (but they still work, the images do not!) here, i show you what I mean
can you help me to convert these .tga images into gta2? i keep losing hope on interface designing. ps: if we can do it, can you make more of these images? they ROCK! while i made +5 buildings this morning

Nice work, I appreciate your effort you put into this, I have even thought to start similar project myself! Looks good, keep it up.
I like the menu, btw.
Thanks we do what we can to make best and bigest GTA 2 mod ever. Also if you suport the project please put link to it in signature (it can be small text ) to popularize this topic. Not many people visit GTA2 moding section these days

you're totally absolutely right about that ALSO: If we can ge enough fans, we should start a contest for a district, what's going to replace the last bonus map how 'bout that?
Program the entire project into an Android and IOS app and I'm pretty sure with no doubt what so ever that I would never be able to stop playing this game. (Just a cool thought)
Or
Modify the psx version and implement the entire title to the psx file and then you can play the game almost on any system. But, all in all You and everyone else behind this game is doing an amazing job. Keep up the good work!
hey man! I've already tought about that PS1 porting thing what can be done (not that easily), but i can only provide that for android, because i dont have an iphone, and i dont want it. i just have to get a PS1 extractor, a PS1 compiled and paff!
