Hello guys,

so, I bought the Steam-version of San Andreas a few weeks ago during the holiday-sale and I wanted to install CLEO3, but it didn't work. Then I wanted to install SA-MP but they said on their website that the Steam-version isn't supported.
So, is the Steam-version of it modable at all? Or are there any tools with which I can install mods in it?

I hope you understood what I was trying to say, look at my signature sigh.gif

Cheers

First, turn off (in properties in Steam) installation updating.

Sorry, but the Steam version cannot be modded due to a different exe rejecting Cleo and other large hooks. You cain install map mods, car mods, and modified SCM files though. If you learn a bit of SCM you can put your CLEO mods in your SCM file, though you'll need to start a new game every time.

You can mod anything. But yeah, you're better off just getting a 1.0 version wink.gif

One recomendation I can make is (as long as you have legally bought the game from steam) is to download the no cd exe for version 1.01 which has all the modding capabilities plus 1600x900 resolution. If you can find a version 1 anywhere, then props to you and have fun, but if you are like me and ended up at a last resort, replacing the v3 exe with the downloaded one is the way to go.Tthis is the best advice I can give for modding the Steam version.

There are videos on youtube on how to replace the exe to be able to mod the steam version, and as a side note, it will NOT get you banned or anything of the sort, atleast it hasn't happened to me.
