Yo.
I was wondering, is ther a MEd Alternative? Because whenever I use MEd it runs at 4-7FPS and I wanna make a few maps, but with MEd when I zoom in, cos of the lag, I always end up zooming in too much and likewise for zooming out.
If there is a MEd alternative, please may I have the link for it?
If there isn't, please may someone help me figure out how to stop the lag?

You can use the MTA Map Editor and then use a conversor to IPL

I do. I only selected the lae2.ipl and it lags worse than the HD Police Bike I used to have.
I'll try it with Gamebooster, see if that works.

@Link2012 How would that work exactly? Don't MTA and SA have different map files?

EDIT: Tried it with Gamebooster, still laggy as hell.
I use V0.32 if that means anything.

MTA use the SA IPL Files and custom map files made with its map editor. Yeah, you can't edit the map (ie. move existent objects), but you can add objects, it can solve problem for some people...

After doing the map at MTA Map you can convert it to IPL at http://gtamap.delux-host.com/converter/

IPLEditor doesn't render objects. It's just a simple text editor with some extras.

TheNathanNS: Well, lagging also depends on your pc performance. See, if you select more than one IPL and render it will lag more.
My advice is to import your files in 3ds Max and make changes from there

Mine lags too. Best advice is to:
01. Save periodicallly.
If you make to many edits (in my case deletes), your edit could crash when you save it.
02. Save and Quit for a while
I noticed that after a while (and many deletes), the program begins to slow down. So,
I: save my work, close the map area I was working on, then Exit. I then wait a few
minutes for Windows to (finally) garbage collect the RAM, then start up again. Takes
a while, but as the program is freeware I don't mind.
