They're still making the A380, right? Personally I find the Antonov An-225 to be quite beast. I'd definitely want to learn to fly if I had the money, but I can barely afford to sit at home right now.

yep, A380 still in production and will be for a long time to come. a bit worried about the stress crack problem on the wings though, not to mention those Trent 900 engines exploding but I think RR may have fixed the problem

A350-800 - what they're replacing the A340 with, not really liking how the similarity to the Boeing 777.
I can understand though as engines are becoming more powerful and reliable and also fuel efficiency is a big thing so 4 engines arent really justifiable anymore

While I've never been too big on commercial jets, I'll say the An-225 is a beast. Replaced the AT400 with it in SA and had so much fun running it into buildings jihad style.
Now WW2 and Korean War era fighters, high altitude bombers, dive bombers, etc, now that's what I'm really in love with.

how'd you like the A380?
i've flown on it several times with both Emirates and Singapore Airlines and both from LHR to DXB/SIN
I like it a lot because the seats seem to just be that little bit wider while still keeping with the industry standard seat configurations
Love it! The Emirates one was superb, I flew economy and it was like flying premium economy with any other airline. I also flew the Lufthansa A380, was nowhere near as good as the Emirates one but was cool. They are so quiet.

I've always loved the A-10
Pretty much took the concept of making a gun and then building a plane around said gun and ran with it. Also it can take a lot of damage and keep on flying.
It ain't the prettiest plane, but it doesn't have to be.

hell yeah! the A10 is a tank in the sky designed to destroy tanks on the ground. its a beast that one
EDIT: some pics of the AN-225
Only Antonov i've seen is the AN-124 unloading lynx helicopters for the RAF up at Durham Tees Valley Airport (MME) absolutely one of the most massive cargo aircraft i've seen, cant even imagine how big an AN-225 would be close up
