Can't wait for this film! I'm a massive James Bond fan but I'm a bit disappointed that Quantum isn't involved in the storyline, but I still have high hopes.

Here is the full interview if anyone wants it.

I like the direction that the latest Bond films have gone. I think that Daniel Craig is a fantastic actor and portrays a dark side of Bond that we haven't seen before.

Wondering how good this will be, I enjoyed Casino Royale, but I'm yet to see Quantum of Solace as I've heard it's not all that good.

The Daniel Craig version of Bond is more similar to the one from the books than any of the other actors' portrayals. I like him a lot.

Agreed, the other Bonds were all dependent on gadgets while Craig's was just a simple bonafide tough guy.

Love Casino Royale, hopefully it would be as good as that.

Casino Royale is one of my favorite movies. Quantum was good, but not as good as Royale. Although the more I watch Quantum the more I like it. I'll be to the first showing of Skyfall I can whether it be midnight, or not.

The "gentleman spy" thing was created by Connery and his almost inability to be a hard-ass. It worked great for the films. In the books, while Bond is certainly worldly and experienced and classy, he is a bit more of a dick, a misogynist, and a bit more violent. He beats people up, sometimes kills people he isn't supposed to, and is less respectful of women than his film counterpart. The gadgets and fancy toys don't start coming in until the books go on a bit further as Ian Fleming was convinced by the films' popularity to start adding them to his novels. In the first book, Casino Royale, Bond has a gun and that's it. Everything else is his wits and his spy bad-ass-ity. Bond's 'thing' is that he can endure insane amounts of physical torture- like more than anyone alive. He's just incredibly mentally tough.

I suggest everyone who likes Bond check the books out. Start with CR. It's pretty cool to be honest. Just don't expect BMWs with laser guns in the headlights and Vaio laptops in every scene. It's not that kind of spy story.

I didn't know much bout james bond movies till I was taken out to see goldeneye on a date when I was 15. I lost interest in the movie series when there was the dissappearing car in Brosnans last film. I did like Casio Royale didnt see quantom of solace. I might catch up on the bond stuff someday.

Quantum of Solace is a series of short stories involving Bond and they used the name for the movie. The movie was bad ass. Lots of kick ass action scenes.

The last I read (which was a while ago) was that the production had been halted indefinitely due to financial problems at MGM (plus this was when there was no working title).

I am absolutely stoked for a new Bond. I see they have the role of Q filled this time, although I'm not going to lie, I still miss Desmond Llewelyn.

James Blonde Returns!

I presume this title & story aren't from the books? There were only three titles left to use I believe; Risico, The Property Of A Lady, and the highly imaginative 007 In New York.

Looking forward to this. I hope its more like Casino Royale and less like Quantum Of Solace, whose Spastic editing and car/boat/foot/plane chase overload left a sour taste.

The Property Of A Lady

Apparently there was plans for this to be Timothy Dalton's third Bond film, but it fell through and then there was a bunch of legal mumbo jumbo that went about and put Bond on hiatus until Goldeneye came out.

I'm a big Bond fan and I'm pretty excited for this. Javier Barden will be a great villain, although I'm not too sure about the new Q. He's going to be be in his early 30's apparently, which just doesn't seem right somehow. I do like Daniel Craig, although my favourite Bond is Brosnan. I actually liked all the goofy gadgets and he had a bit more wit and charisma about him.

I really was expecting to see more of Quantum as well. The story was picking up momentum fast and I really don't want another Fleming novel plucked out of the archive and done over like all Bonds pre-Daniel Craig.

Interesting to see that Q returns, maybe we'll see some gadgets but not too many I hope. This Ben Whimshaw guy, I'm not too sure on but I really liked his performance in Perfume: Story of A Murderer. This also leaves a continuity error as Q ages while Bond stays fresh. Probably my only major gripe of him being reintroduced.
