I just read in another forum that GTA V will probably be released in 2013.
They found out by visiting the German GameStop website, which says that the release date is the 18.03 (03.18 - American date) in 2013.
That made me curious, so I checked a Norwegian website for games, and they said that they sell it after this date: 31.03 (03.31 - American date) 2013. I don't hope this is true, but if it is, then the game is going to be really great, right? As you can see in the first Trailer, they've already done a lot! It wouldnt be a good move as 2013 is the year of next gen consoles by the looks of things. Besides we can see from the trailer that the game looks like it is nearing completion, I dont see why they would need another entire year.

I found another "hint".

As you can read in this Thread, there are some hints for GTA V on the TBGT flyer. Scroll down a little bit and look for the 3. hint.

An early 2013 release is not completely impossible. Although autumn 2012 seems much more likely.

It may depend on how well Max Payne 3 will perform financially for Take2. an early 2013 release is possible. When Max Payne 3 comes out this March, Rockstar will continue to promote it for months ahead, alongside new DLCs. We will get new info about GTA V during this process, but it doesn't mean it should come out this year. My desire is to be having it by October/November this year.

2013 is impossible.

Take Two fiscal year is April 2012 - March 2013 and they plan to achive 2$ per share.

Without V in 2012 that won't happen, might even be to late for an autumn release, that's one of the many reasons I think V will be out Summer 2012.

Exactly. The reason there was a years gap between RDR and LA Noire was because RDR:s sales were so high. LA Noire didn't become as popular and therefore they have to release Max Payne 3 two months earlier than planned. So if MP3 does well in terms of sales they will keep supporting it just like they did with RDR.

I hope that the game will drop in the summer. As for the 2013 release in March I doubt that will be the case. I think that the most probable date for the game will be in October or November. Personally Im hoping for a release date prior to 2013.

I love Max Payne series but it just can not keep R* above the water for a hole year.I mean hw good was sales for Max Payne 1 and 2?And with already announced GTA V people on a R* newswire only asking about V,not MP3.I personally would buy MP3 but millions other would just wait for a GTA V,so they better prepare V for this year.

I have no problem whether 2012 or 2013 will be the release date of GTAV. But my only worries is that fans will be more upset and disappointed to them and will get tired of waiting. Or might not get excited anymore but that's impossible to happen.

Next gen won't be in 2013, maybe the new Nintendo but the new Xbox/PS won't be out until late 2014/early 2015. I know this. And even if the next gen would be out in 2013 and GTA V is released around the same time, it wouldn't affect the sales a single bit! Not a tiny bit! Because the new Xbox/PS will be able to play previous gen games.
