Promise me you guys will tell me if there is ever another show as good or even better than this c: I just love the story, the characters, the way the music is used in scenes - everything is just perfect. I really hope we get to see more work by Gilligan in the future.
I would suggest you watch Game of Thrones.
Its a fascinating story about fascinating people with fascinating values in a fascinating world.
And there is no better form of entertaining than two men fighting to death with swords and axes
I love Breaking Bad but this is something completely different.

One of my all-time favourite scenes (still) is the meeting with Tuco. It's just BAD-ASS the way Walter took care of business. Loved the way they hyped it, by showing him walking there with the bag of money at the start of the episode.
I chose to post the longest video of it because it also shows him walking away and sitting in his car getting a boner over his first touch of big money, great scene man.
Also i couldn't help but laugh at what Tuco said: "I steal your dope... i beat the piss out of your mule boy... and then you walk in here and you bring me more meth??" Hahaha it's still funny

Well, you have to see this from her perspective, as I've said before. The only reason she slept with Ted was to act out against Walt because he was cooking meth. I can sort of understand that. Ted was there for her in ways Walt wasn't. She eventually felt sorry for sleeping with him, and you can tell. That's her redeeming quality there. She also stopped seeing Ted when they bought the car wash (she agreed to help Walt launder his money not only to help keep his secret so it doesn't ruin the family, but also because she's a book keeper). The only reason she gave Ted the $600,000 was to protect the secret, because Ted refused to pay his IRS debt... which would have led to Skyler because she helped him cook the books. That wouldn't be good, because then the IRS would start investigating the car wash and how it was payed for. I do think Skyler could have told Walt about the Ted situation before she took his money, but she did it for good reasons.
You have to see it from her point of view to better understand her.
Still, she's annoying as hell right now.
I agree. She irks the hell out of me.
@GTA-King One of my favorite scenes is the "Crawl Space" ending. Gets me everytime.
Hal, is that you?

Jeeeez, why do so many people hate Skyler?
@InstantCClassic: One of the greatest scenes in television history. That part literally gave me goosebumps... and it still does. I actually had a bit of trouble breathing as well. Great music and acting, especially Walt's Joker laugh!
Here's another one of my favorite scenes... this is the first thing we ever saw of Breaking Bad, and when the addiction began. Walt has come so far from this point. Oh, and possible foreshadowing the ending with Walt ready to take on the cops?

Yep, similar to what I posted, I definitely think this is a possible foreshadowing.
When I first saw this, I was like "WTF What is this loser doing in his underwear..Damn what a nerd!" Now that was the impression that came to my mind, and it was so awkward I liked it. After that scene it grabbed me..You can definitely see the visual difference and with each episode you begin to like him a little more than the last one.

Its absolutely amazing.
The thing I like about the show is the unpredictability. If you like shows where the good guy doesn't always win and a world full of grey characters I'd also recommend it.

@Doublepulse: It's crazy how much he's been though in a year. I mean, in just a year he has went from a mild-mannered family man to a ruthless drug kingpin. It makes you wonder what a person is capable of if they are pushed into a corner like Walt was. In a way, I kind of want to leave some sort of "legacy" behind before I die. I don't necessarily want to become a drug lord, but I want to leave some sort of mark on the world before I go.
I like comparing Breaking Bad to Scarface, because there is so many similarities! If you think about it, seasons 1-4 of Breaking Bad is like the first half of Scarface... he's making his way to the top. Walt had to go through some violent situations sort of like Tony Montana did to make it to the top. Not really as brutal, but violent nonetheless:
When Tony killed his boss Frank, he got the control and the power. Similar to what Walt did when he killed Gus:
Now that Walt has the power, he's now buidling his own criminal empire. I imagine all of part 1 of season 5 to be like this montage:
And part 2 of season 5 most likely will be about the downfall of Walt and his empire. Maybe not an epic gun fight (M60 perhaps?), but a downfall nonetheless:

Here is one of my favorite scenes from Season 1 Episode 2:
I was almost about to believe his bullsh*t too..All the pep talk and stuff.. WOW
This REALLY shows how far Walt has fallen from. Back then with Krazy 8, he was remorseful and ready to let him go...had that happened with current Walt, he wouldn't have been in the basement for so many days. He would have been dead the second he screwed with Walt.

^ Wow, yeah that scene definitely shows how far Walt has come. I think Walt's total kill count is now about 12 or 13... directly. Not counting the people who has died as a result of his actions, like when the airplanes crashed and Combo's death.
So I posted this a few pages back, but I'm going to post it again just in case some of you missed it. I think this is pretty cool
Ok, so my little nephew came over the other day and brought some toys with him. Among the things he brought was a toy M60. I was like, "no f*cking way" so I immediately told him I needed to borrow it for a minute. I went in my room and grabbed the ammo case where I hold my .38, and took that along with the toy M60 out to my car. I put them in my trunk and snapped this photo:
I thought it was pretty f*cking awesome!

Man I remember when I stumbled upon Breaking Bad. I was trying to find something good on Netflix - and there it was. A poster of some middle-aged man standing in his underwear with a gun. "Breaking Bad" I had heard about the show a year or two back, never bothered watching it though. There being nothing else I decided to watch the pilot - if I didn't like it, I'd find something else.

Safe to say it's my favorite show.
I remember exactly how I found Breaking Bad as well. I was checking out Seinfeld on IMDB and somehow I stumbled across Breaking Bad. I saw the 9.4 rating and read the description. I instantly fell in love with the story and decided I would download the first season. The first season was great and so I downloaded the rest. Every season was better than the previous one and I waited patiently for season 5. The first four episodes of season 5 are all great. Season 5 has definitely started better than previous seasons and we haven't seen nothing yet from season 5. We're in for a crazy ride!

I remember seeing commercials for Breaking Bad during season 2 and I thought to myself "Hmmm, that's the dad from Malcolm in the Middle" but never really having any interest in it. But last fall I was at my friend's house and we was flipping through Netflix when he BRIEFLY stopped on Breaking Bad. He skipped it, but I told him to go back so I could read the description. We both agreed that it sounded like an awesome story, so we started watching the first season. We finished it that night. When I got home, I started watching the other seasons and have been addicted ever since.
Interesting spoiler-ish hints from Cranston in that link. He says he asked Vince Gilligan for some more information on what Walt is doing in the S5 Denny's flash forward before they filmed. These were the answers Vince gave...
Brian: Am I alone? Vince: Yes
Brian: Why am I coming back to Albuquerque? Vince: You're coming back because you need to protect someone.
Brian: Is the cancer back? Vince: Possibly.
I know it'd already been speculated that Walt had come back to ABQ since he came from New Hampshire and the waitress thought he might be on his way to California. It's no big surprise that Walt is currently working alone either. But it's interesting to know that Walt has bought that machine gun to protect someone, not for some Gus-style revenge massacre. The gun seller does tell Walt "good luck" so is Walt on some sort of rescue mission? Who is the person Walt is trying to protect? I guess the obvious candidate would be Jesse. It could be someone in Walt's family, but they can seek police protection if they are in danger.

I agree, mate. Walter is the most interesting and complicated character in the show for my opinion. He has a power-hungry, passionated, hot headed style like Tony Montana meanwhile he's an unwilling criminal like Niko Bellic, we can say. That's why I like Walt's "weird" style. Actually it's a bit tragedy for Walt, though.

I betcha that was because of Anna Gunn, Skyler. She was in an episode of Seinfeld once, as Jerry's GF, but they broke it off when George thought he saw her making out with Jerry's nephew. But he wasn't wearing glasses cus he was just about to buy new ones. She looked kinda hot in it too lol. I laughed when i saw it was her.
@GTA-King: That's some great info. Put's things in perspective. It's gotta be Jesse though. But who knows what will happen... really no point in trying to predict it. Thnx for sharing

Yeah you might be right! Bryan Cranston and Bob Odenkirk also appeared on Seinfeld. Bryan played that dentist who converted to Judaism and started telling these jokes about Jews. Jerry thought he converted to Judaism just for the sake of telling jokes like that without anyone being offended (because he's now a Jew), hahaha. Cranston appeared in like 2 - 3 episodes in Seinfeld. Bob Odenkirk (Saul Goodman) played Elaine's boyfriend in one episode. He was that doctor, well not a doctor because he did not pass the final exam, but Elaine decided to call him a doctor so she could brag to all her friends.

^ Is that right? Never seen it This makes me think how Cranston since Breaking Bad all of a sudden keeps popping up in films... i saw him in Drive, Contagion, The Lincoln Lawyer... and now Total Recall. Mad funny. All I could see was Walter White lol.
BTW, did you know Odenkirk was a goddamn writer for SNL??? (Saturday Night Live) And i'm talking way back in the day SNL. When i saw that, mind was blown.

^ So true. When i realised it was him i nearly fell over.
I really thought that was it for him, you know, the one role in Malcolm in the Middle, nothing more in store for the guy. Then all of a sudden he stars as Heisenberg, and a lot of DAMN good acting he showed us. Nothing like 'Hal' which is the same character every episode. Very impressive.
