With the kids being kept out of the house, I don't see Holly inhaling Ricin smoke from an electrical fire. If anything, this episode makes me even surer that Walt will poison Skyler with the Ricin, by putting it in a cigarette.
That was really nice of Jesse c: I really hope Walt doesn't kill him, that's the one thing that will make me hate Walt.
Also, any ideas on the symbolism behind the watch?

ONE OF THE BEST OPENINGS EVER!!!
-Was that a BMW Walt bought? And he bought his son another Challenger! -I wonder if Lydia actually did "bug" that barrel? I personally think she didn't. -Prediction: Junior will die in a car wreck. Remember the time when Walt was teaching him proper footing while driving? Well, now Junior has a fast car. I personally think he's going to get into a car wreck because of improper footing. -I feel so bad for Skyler. Always have, but this episode made me sympathize with her even more. -Jesse bought Walt a nice watch! Hell yeah! -Hank got a promotion... now he's the top dog of his unit, which means more man power and resources! Uh-oh!
The preview for the next episode looks great as well! The waiting begins... tick tick tick tick.
@cp1dell: I think it symbolizes Mike's quote from the second episode. "You're a time bomb, tick ticking away." At least, that's the way I see it.

Ah yes! Makes perfect sense. You're my go-to-guy for speculation! ;D

Walt jumping into the pool to save Skyler is symbolic as well, in a sense. Skyler wants out of that lifestyle, and Walt keeps dragging her back in. She may not have the guts to kill Walter, but she can't wait for him to die.
I loved this episode, because it just goes to show that not every one has to be action packed. Like the Fly episode for example. A great dialogue focused episode, like tonight's. They are definitely setting us up though... calm before the storm.

"Fly" was friggen hilarious. This one was interesting.
You're right on the point that they don't have to be action packed.

^ Was about to post that! Thanks, InsantCClassic!
Looks like there are going to be robbing their methylamine now. I can't help to ask... how? Looks like they are digging in that preview, maybe for a pipe? I don't know, but I can't wait to find out. Also, where do you think they are at the beginning of that preview? Aaron Paul tweeted that dead Freight will be one of the best episodes of all time!
Also about the watch Jesse got Walt, it also represents Jesse's loyalty to him... which is pretty heart-breaking.
Oh, and here's the definition of Dead Freight: a sum of money paid by a person who charters a whole vessel but fails to make out a full cargo. The payment is made for the unoccupied capacity.

Great episode. I feel no sympathy for Skylar, not anymore. She knew what she was getting herself into when she insisted she apart of Walt's "business", it is very apparent she cannot handle it and no she cannot get out of this business. She made that decision, a decision Walt didn't want to go through with. Walt did buy the plot but she seems to be digging her own grave at this point.

You realize that the only reason she got involved was to protect the family, right? Not trying to be hostile, just wondering.
Oh, and I just found out that Rian Johnson, the person who directed the Fly episode, directed this episode. Great director... very unique.
I'm very aware of that, as I'm sure you are aware that Walt got involved in the meth business to... protect the future of his family. It doesn't matter, he nor did she have to get involved. I would've thought from watching Walt all these years that you would think that the "Family" excuse is a weak one.

The difference between Walt and Skyler in this situation is that Walt did it because he had cancer. He thought he was going to die soon, which is why he starting cooking in the first place. Ever since he got news of the remission, the surgery, he STILL cooks crystal meth. He could have gotten out at the beginning of season 3... but eventually, he's lured back in due to the money Gus offers him, as well as the super lab. Walt has a weakness for "self-importance"... which is why he still stays in the meth trade. In the beginning it was for the family, but now... it's more for him.
With Skyler, she basically decided to help Walt because she needs to protect the secret. I mean, if you was a mother, would you want your kids to find out their father is a drug dealer? It's a bold thing what she did, but it was ultimately to keep her family together. Her motivation was keeping the secret as long as she could, but now that she knows Walt is a killer, things are different.
Some things Skyler did I don't agree with, but you HAVE to see it from her perspective. Walt has put her in a tight spot... and she's doing whatever she can to protect the family at this point.

She's worried about them finding out he is a drug dealer, but he "plan" was to leave bruises around her neck and "give myself a black eye" and go to the police, only to have Junior believing Walt is a "wife beater"... please man. I've been watching in her perspective and Walt has been beyond f*cked up, I couldn't believe how he would be gone for days and not say nothing or make up some bullsh*t excuse for his absence.
Skylar cannot handle this business, she wasn't aware of actions Walt would have to take (and he probably didn't know either) to "protect his family" and expand this business. She could've signed those divorce papers and gone the other way... she could've quit implying Walt to come back to the house, when in fact I felt like he didn't want to.
Skylar is a big girl and what she is doing is no worser than Walt walking around butt-naked in a grocery store.
