Once I had this cartridge console, don't remember what it was, but I played Mario and some sports games on it.

I had a Sega Master System II when I grew up, the model with Alex Kidd built into it. I spent so much time on that game, and never beat it until recently. Even at 21, I found the ending fickle, frustrating, unfair, harsh and incredibly difficult if you didn't know what you were doing. It's a good job the controllers were wired because I could see many a kid throwing theirs at the screen only for it to bounce back and hit them right in their chubby 1994 faces. I also had Tommy Boy (something about a kid with a semi-automatic shooting spaced out flying egg men) and some odd racing car game where you start off as a motorbike and "evolve" into a fighter jet as pieces attach themselves onto you.

I grew up with my father's SNES, his Sega Megadrive and finally I grew up with my own consoles which were: PS1, and PS2.

PS2 had the most fun for games for me, GTA, man; I would love to go back in time.

We use dto have a Sega, which is as far back as I can remember (even though my dad did have other consoles before that) and we were one of the few people I knew with a PC WITH INTERNET.

After Sega we bought a SNES, after that a PS1, then a PS2 (in the meantime we also had Gameboy and GBC) and then a Xbox360

An Amstrad CPC 464 was where my gaming really started. I still remember Flimbo's Quest, Head Over Heels, Outrun, Harrier Attack, Oh Mummy and the like very fondly. Damn it, now I want to be a kid again.

Well im 20 now, i started out on the PS1 which my older brother owned, i would have been 5 or 6, something like that anyway, i can recall playing Spyro the most.
After that it was the Gameboy and Pokemon R/B, i kept playing those for many years to come, usually on the move since the PS2 was released, and i still do occasionally.
Then the PS2 came and rocked my world with GTA III! That was when i was 10 or 11, that saw me through until i was 15-16 before the next console, that pretty much documents my video gaming childhood...Oh i miss those days, spending hours headbutting things on spyro, not really getting anywhere, trading pokemon with my cousins, and having epic pokemon battles with my cousins and friends, and of course GTA III,VC and San ANdreas, running over hookers, doing stupid cheats and wreaking havoc in general, playing with my much older sister even.

I still love games, but they are not as fun as they used to be and rarely generate the laughs it used to (through no fault of the games), and i am not so carefree and full of spare time to indulge them as often as i did throughout my childhood.
VideoGaming is an important part of my life, definitely better than any other toys i ever had.

I think the very first system I had was an Apple II. I remember playing old games on it and other than missile defense I don't remember the others. Later on I got the NES and really got into Mario after that smile.gif.

The first console I actually casually picked up and played was my sister's PlayStation (the original fat one), and the first games I played were Tekken and Crash Bandicoot.

Oh, such fond memories.

First game console I remember playing was the NES. We had Duckhunt and Super Mario. First game would either be my arcade experiences or Oregon Trail and Mario Teaches typing in elementary. I had a super nintendo which I sucked at every game on it. (shaq fu, zombies ate my neighbors, some wrestling game, and street fighter.). I then got an N64 which was my only system until I got a playstation 2 very late. After that was the xbox 360.

Technically my first video game related thing ever was a Gameboy Color, but my first true gaming experience that I remember was the Gamecube. I rented Zelda Wind Waker with Ocarina of Time as a bonus disc and remember being blown away, like I found the meaning of life.

I'm coming to a strange realization that perhaps I never actually owned the original NES, despite having played it quite a lot. I just can't recall actually playing it in my own home..hmm. I've clear memories of being scared to death of Castlevania, shooting Jaws for hours on end with a harpoon, and some extremely awkward soccer games. Perhaps the Gameboy would be my first official gaming device; boy did I play the sh*t out of Alleyway and Bo Jackson's Baseball.

Then it was the Sega Genesis, characterized by sleepless nights of ToeJam & Earl, Sonic, and Arnold Palmer's Golf (I must've played this game for a good 6 months before I'd actually learned how to swing the club properly..don't ask). And of course I'll never forget receiving a copy of Mortal Kombat. Good times were had.

On to the Nintendo64. GoldenEye, Mario 64, Ocarina of Time, WCW. I still find it hard to match those gaming days.

Then the Playstation 2. Smoking lots of weed and trying to get the highest score on Tony Hawk's 2, f*cking sh*t up on GTA III, and starting to play FIFA more intensively. Obviously getting older and finding less time to devote to gaming. Sad indeed.

Now it's Playstation 3 where I'm lucky to get in time to play the few games I have: GTA IV, RDR, FIFA12, and now Ico/SotC. I'm not even a casual gamer nowadays, never really was I suppose. I pace myself incredibly slowly (still waiting to play Episodes from Liberty City) just trying to concentrate on one title at a time. Next on my list is the entire Metal Gear Solid series.

Wow, you guys are young...

First game system for me was the Atari 2600... Some of the games I kinda remember were Chopper command, Haunted house (which sucked), Pitfall, Pacman and that Superman game where you just fly around for hours.

We'd played video games at the arcade and grocery store before that, so were stoked to actually be able to play games at home without having to lug around a pocket full of quarters.

Been a PC gamer all my life. Played the sh*t out of Neverhood and The Need For Speed 1&2 way back like 14+ years ago.
