I noticed when I drive a car near Ballas Territory, 3 gang members which wears green cloths shoot at me. They were like GSF members. So I get out of car and saw whether I can recruit them. But I couldn't and they continoued shooting. So I killed them and checked with Stats in what catogery those kills were gone. Those kills had gone to Enemy gang members killed. But they were GSF members since green cloths. All of 3 members were fat guys in GSF. But there is the same fat guy for Ballas with only differ the colour of cloth. It's not the first time I had experience about this colour problem. In mission "Sweet's Girl", once again GSF colour gang shoot at me and Sweet and not only their colour is like GSF, but their appearance is exactly same like GSF. Actually, I too disguised whether to shoot them or not. In the end, I had forced to shoot. I don't know whether this is a glitch.

Also sometimes I have experienced that Cesar's gang also shoot me if I am going on foot near them. Normally Cesar's gang and GSF are allies. Specially when I do a crime(not for them) inside their territory, they always shoot me. So I don't know why they shoot me. But Triads never do like that even if do crimes in their territory. Vagos behavior is also questionable. They don't react like Ballas. Sometimes Vagos are aggressive against me even if I go peacefully. But sometimes they ignore me completely even if I do a crime(like tagging).

I remember that gangs of green (GFS) shot me when in "Sweet's Girl".

I think it can occur if you kill too many GFS gang. It may be glitch, or I don't know.

But I didn't kill too many of them. I killed 5 GSF members only prior to that mission (All of those were accidentally).

Lil' Weasel is Right. Cheats can affect to the Gameplay and can cause glitches.

I never use cheats or any modifications. In fact, I used some of them but didn't save game in that case.

During Sweet's Girl, you always DO fight with green gangsters, cause they're Seville Boulevard Families. Varrio Los Aztecas do attack you when you start shooting etc. in their presence or sometimes just for wearing GSF colours or just because. Even Triad in San Fierro attacks you when you start shooting - I even had that happen during Mountain Cloud Boys while driving with Woozie. And I've noticed that GSF members attack you when they're driving car and you start damaging it with melee - weird thing.

In Sweet's Girl, I have played that mission 5 times and 4 times they were usual Ballas and most recent occasion they were green cloth gang. Triads sometimes shoot me if I do shooting in front of them. But sometimes they don't shoot in that case. But in that case of Triads, I didn't wear Grove street colours and I was on the pimp suit. So there may be considerations between CJ's cloths and gangs behavior. GSF members will attack while CJ hitting their vehicles with melee weapon, is a new thing to me. I frequently noticed that Vagos are lazy to react against CJ in any case.

Seriously? The majority of answers here is "It's your fault for using cheats or mods". Come on, try actually being helpful instead of always blaming the same thing that's completely WRONG.

The Families [GREEN GANG] has split because the drugs [Yay, or Crack] has torn them apart. Sweet didn't want his Set [Set = group of gang members within a larger gang, Sweet's Set is the GROVE STREET Families] to use or deal drugs. Some of the other Family Sets, like the Seville Boulevard Families [who wear green and are also part of the Families Gang] see the Grove Street Families as their enemy now BECAUSE Sweet's opposition to dealing drugs hurts the profit's of the Seville Boulevard Families.

So don't worry, it's a part of the game that's supposed to happen. NO Cheats -- NO Mods were to blame, despite some people's ignorance.

GSF will attack you if you damage their vehicles in any way whether you crash into them or hit their vehicle. They will also attack you if you aim your gun at them, hit them, or if you reply negatively to any of their comments referring to your appearance and/or vehicle. You will also be attacked if you drive around in a car with a couple of Recruited Ballas inside, then by default they will start attacking you since you're riding around with the rival gang. Any of these things might cause GSF to attack you but never in my 8 years of playing this game have I ever been attacked by GSF for no reason.

During the mission, Sweet's Girl, it is always GSF attacking you and Sweet. During that time, the whole gang had been split into different sets as a result of some disagreements of whether or not to get involved with the drug trade. Sweet wanted his set to stay AWAY from drugs while the Seville Boulevard Families, one of the GSF sets who also wear green, wanted to get involved. This disagreement made them rivals which is why they attacked Sweet in the first place. So don't be surprised that it was GSF attacking you.

Varrio Los Aztecas, despite the fact that they are portrayed as GSF "Allies" in the main plot of the game's story, are systematically set to be GSF rivals. In other words, during the main plot, Los Aztecas become allies with GSF BUT they are set to be rivals in the game system meaning they will attack you on sight if CJ wears any bright colors, not just necessarily green. Same goes with Triadz, they will also attack you just not as often.

This is ALL part of the game, in no way is any of these cause of cheats. Cheats do affect the game as in not being able to complete missions or taking your girlfriend out but your gang attacking you is a natural response to CJ attacking them or simply being rude to them.

I've never seen GSF attacking me when I answer negatively to their comments or if I hit/shoot them. Maybe that's because I have respect maxed out, but still, I can do whatever I want to them tounge.gif Didn't notice them attacking me when I bump into their cars either, but that might be because it's never really that obvious as a guy coming out of car and shooting you when you damage his car with melee. And how on earth are you supposed to recruit Ballas (except cheats maybe?)?

Well it's not 100% sure they will attack you but some GSF members will attack you if they give you a comment and you reply in a negative manner. They will start punching you or even start shooting you. Obviously if you barely bump into their car, it won't cause much of a commotion but if you start beating their car with your fist or a melee weapon they will either drive away scared or get out the car and start attacking you. But i guess the Respect stat does play an important role in how GSF will react to your actions but there would always be some GSF members that will attack you if tempted to.

By the way, you can recruit Ballas using the recruit anyone cheat. Activate it, aim at a Balla, press Up and BAM. You have officially recruited a Balla. wink.gif

I think we can't recruit any other gang member without cheats. One time I hit with fist to one GSF member of a 4 gang and whole 4 members scared away from me. Also I have answered them negatively, but still no GSF member has attacked me so far. However, there may be some relationship between their behavior and CJ's respect level. I have experienced that GSF members most times attack when CJ hits their vehiche or steal their vehicle and not getting in.

Varrio Los Aztecas are most times attack me if I wear green cloths. But if I don't wear green cloths, one member will ask something from me and if I answer positively (say yes), then he and his allies attacks me. But if I answer negatively, he just goes away. Traids don't do this and they never attack me if I don't do anything in front of them. I think I will be shoot if I attack them first.

If you didn't understand my post, read Black.y14's post. It's not a glitch, it's fully explained in "Sweet's Girl".

Thank You Back.y14 for having a simple understanding of the game. I don't know why people have such a hard time understanding it.

You are correct. You can not recruit enemy gang members without cheats but when I mentioned recruiting Ballas I assumed everyone knew that the only way to do so was by using cheats. So I apologize for not being clear about that.

Look, I know we all have an adoration for Grove Street Families but lets be real, they are a bunch of wimps. They can be traveling in packs of 5 and will still run away if CJ attacks them. But that's not to say they won't attack you for other reasons. If they give you a negative comment and you respond with another negative comment, most likely they will start attacking you. If you damage their car in any way they will either drive away fast or they will step out their car and attack you. Point here is: GSF will attack you if provoked to. There is always a reason for them attacking you.

Los Aztecas will attack you regardless of the color close you are wearing, as long as it's any bright colored clothes. Trust me, I've done enough research to know that any bright colors will catch their attention. If you walk around their territory, the first thing they'll do is ask you if you bang. If you say yes, they will attack you. If you respond no, they will keep following you and will attack you sooner or later. Thing is, Aztecas, as well as any other gang, are systematically set to be your rivals. It's just that each different gang has their own threat level. Some might attack you on sight like Ballas and Vagos. Some will just follow you and ask you if you gang-bang, like Aztecas and Da Nang, and some will just mind their own business until you start any problems, like Rifa and Triads.
