I had better hopes, but after all it's quite decent. It overclocks nicely, power consumption is acceptable (similar to HD6970). We'll just have to wait till drivers get optimized.

$550 is rather expensive even for a flagship card. I figured the process shrink would have kept prices in check. Hopefully they'll come down when Nvidia gets its 28nm GPU out the door.

Anyways, I'll be sticking with my 6970 for some time, possibly throwing a second one in if/when the prices drop.

Given that GTX580 costs $500, $550 isn't really that much IMHO. HD7970 is definitely a better value for money.

Yep yep, fully agree here, i would say this is a pretty good deal for a new high end GFX card, i like it so far according to the reviews.

ATi 7770 leaked. Performance is between the 6770 and 6850.

That's not as good as I expected confused.gif I hoped that it'd match HD6850.

if drivers are anything like the ones I had when I used a 4870x2 performance will increase drastically over time. I remember having ~ 50FPS increase in Call of duty 4 back then between the release drivers and updated ones.

It'll definitely be like that, it's always the case with next-gen GPUs.
