| QUOTE (Outcast @ Sunday, Mar 18 2012, 08:42) | Can you share some pics of the interior with us? |
Haven't got any pics of our interior, but this is what it looks like: Difference being ours has perforated leather and is RHD. Difference between Night Panel mode and normal: The Televisions in the back fold away unobtrusively: Swedish man not included. Edit: The seats are very cushy; base fore & aft, up & down & inclination, as well as backrest angle & both lumbar supports, are electric. Thigh support & headrests are manual (Booo! ). Tons of legroom. The steering wheel, like the rear TV setup, is also a Buick item: disappointing that it's not available with heating even though on the Buick it is. Would make sense for those Nordic winters. This post has been edited by visionist on Tuesday, Mar 20 2012, 18:01

| QUOTE (Lurch @ Tuesday, Mar 20 2012, 22:14) | | Also, the whole rolling theater Saab thing posted above doesn't impress me much. I thought they were supposed to be fun driving machines (99/900/9-3,etc). That thing looks like pretty much every other generic sedan made these days. Really, what's the difference in a fwd automatic saab and a camry? Seems like the boring formula. The whole FWD thing seemed a lot better and cooler in the older models with less power (with odd engine configurations and manual trans). | If you sit in one, it feels different, believe me The very first time I sat in a 900 it was incredible - it felt like no other

| QUOTE (sivispacem @ Tuesday, Mar 27 2012, 17:37) | | QUOTE (visionist @ Tuesday, Mar 27 2012, 18:30) | | show me one manufacturer who doesn't whore out their platforms left, right & centre. |
BMW? Mercedes? Porsche (well, if you ignore the Cayenne)? | The Germans have always been lucky enough- or astute enough- to manufacture products which people will buy again & again. VAG are the exception; this new MQB malarkey will underpin everything from Polos to Phaetons (and so the ever hateful Cont GT). It's deeply, seriously uncool. I do of course agree with Lurch in principal; I'd much rather each manufacturer did their own thing, however that would result in the Death of a thousand marques overnight. The British auto industry wouldn't exist at all. This here's the lesser of two Evils. Saab have their own, unique platform all ready for manufacture (Phoenix): that's what GM doesn't want the Chinese to get their mitts on.
