| Myth | Haunted Museum |
|---|
| Description | Quite a investigation if you ask me, there is some activity in the museum. I began early in the morning (GTA time) at 06:00 am investigating the museum. Nothing really happened until 08:40 when I heard a faint scream coming from the second floor, I went up to see what it was but there was nothing so I figured it came from outside. The time was 12:18 am and I heard the scream again from the same place, the scream was a grown man scream like he was being tortured. The scream happened again but this time I found out where it came from, it came from location where Niko, Johnny, and Luis were in the storyline during a diamond deal. I then heard footsteps going up the steps and then the back door was opened and then closed, I quickly rushed to the door and kept on hearding footsteps going slow towards me. It was clear I wasn't alone in the museum, something didn't want me out but wanted me to know he/she was there. I spent the rest of the night hearing noises. |
|---|
| Evidence | Male screaming multiple times. Footsteps heard going towards me. Door opens then closes by itself. |

Doing a report as soon as I find a multiplayer PC pal.I'm thinking about going after ratman next, the subway noises creep me out Anyway,I will be going on foot, but for the trip I will try to find a black van,I'll be happy if I find a black landstalker though. My arsenal will be: Knife Combat Pistol Police Shotgun SMG M4A1 Molotov Cocktail to imobilize the creature if I find it. RPG if we come to this. Looking forward to finding a partner.

Hey, CrowbarZ, add me in on the investigator list, will ya? I've been investigating some myths, too. And one I've found that is not listed is the Spy Helicopter myth. It's a stationary floating helicopter at the only bridge connecting the thrid and second city (forget the name). It sits there until the player goes close to it, it then tries to fly off. I've followed it and it tried to go higher then me but gave up. Then, if sits stationary again. I managed to make the heli go down into the water, and the cop bailed out. I noticed something strange, the cop did not move. Eventually, he drowned. I think this is just Rockstar humor, refering to goverment spy helicopters. What do you think? Anyways, I would LOVE to be on the investigator list and investigate all these myths! I will try to film all these (I only have a video camera, not a Dazzle recorder or something.) But I will definately report back the results!! On to investigate Ratman.... Will be back tomorrow.

[If anybody would like the video I captured for proof, just tell me!]
Myth being investigated: Ratman (I did a day time search and a night time search)
I arrived at the scene with my black Landstalker at around 7:00 game time. It was quite bright, but as I took my first few steps into the subway, bright it was not. I was spooked, because most subways in the game were brighter than this! I had no real idea on what was going on here. I kept moving along though, down lower and lower. There were a lot of steps, and along the way I saw something. Icky, brown/gold-ish goop on the ground.
At first, it looked like coins. It really did, but on closer inspection it was obviously some sort of goop. It looked almost like blood, but gold/brown coloured. It was quite... disturbing. Finally, I got to the tracks. The subway tracks. There was a little platform, before you stepped onto the tracks. I inspected the ground, looking for more of this goop stuff. There was more, a lot more, actually. It surprised me. What would make this goop? I really never saw this any place else but here. (But I don't normally stare at the ground, so maybe it's everywhere. For now, this is some sort of evidence.) I looked around, but saw no one. Heard nothing. I turned to leave, but saw another path under the staircase to the outside. I rushed down here excited, but still, no one! The room I entered was filled with lockers... I went back up, dissapointed. Maybe the night time search would give me something.
Night time search: As I crept back into the sewers, I found 3 guys.... just chillin'. In a dark-ass subway place. But, really, it wasn't cool. They looked like they had mascara on! (Well, 2 of them did. One guy had sunglasses on. In the dark.) Anyways, I continued down, but I spooked them. One guy took off running and jumped down something. As I explored, I saw blood. And the goop sh*t. But, I couldnt help but notice the flickering lights. Were the wires bit.... by Ratman? Who knows. As I explored more, I ended the whole thing without a sound or sight from Ratman.
Evidence: Goop, seemingly like blood, but a brownish colour to it. Flickering lights, could be due to Ratman biting them. Blood on walls.
Myth: Busted. Sure, I had evidence, but, no sights OR sounds of Ratman. He's not here.

i have to say this only it's very likely just my paranoia but i have played some games with the MP open ender game option and found other players running around my single player game [red dead rdemption, mercenaries 2 and a coupla other games i can't rem ONLY ON THE XBOX360]. i tried talking to them but they seemed to be just doing their own thing and in a coupla places screwed up my games; mercs 2 comes to mind when i wanted to keep the big oil corp onside but then they went to war against me and i couldn't figure out why. i wanted to keep them sweet until i'd got all the achievements done with them then destroy their smarmy asses but i was also allied to the venezuelan rebels [ a tricky situation at best but they seemed to be held apart by the venezuelan gov forces so i used that gap to exploit my advancemnt in the game]. i only noticed the 'invader' cos they had red labels [gametags] above them and i was screaming over the mike "oi!! who invited you to this game?" this was early days when i first got an xbox360 so obv i wasn't aware i prob had my options set to "allow other players to join game" or something along those lines. but this 'invader' had attacked the oil corps' forces and so i was at war with them too!
my point is, it is possible that someone could be wandering around your GTAIV world just curious. how they do it? i don't know. but some ppl are incredibly clever when it comes to network invasion coding so popping onto another player's gameworld is possibly very easy. why do it? for some, to just be a nuisance. for others? just plain curiosity. i once spent an hour with some kid playing halo co-op and he insisted i see something incredible... it was an hole in the gameworld and he was so excited about it and that he had found it. to me? i was just.. so what? big deal. you waste my time showing me this? kid, i'm too old and been into games too long to find this particularly interesting[obv i was more diplomatic]. so if this kid found a crack in a halo world so fascinating [i'm not a halo fan so poss that's why i found it boring] it's likely many ppl would find wandering another person's personal gameworld interesting? possibly that could explain some strange occurences?
or:-
i think most games now are written for either xbox or ps3 first then recoded for the pc. since it seems a lot harder to access consoles' game folders and files it's likely ghosts in the machine/game engine could easily be placed there by the devs. we know devs have been doing weird stuff to their games since game designing began. i mean, 'meccano' - not a game, more like lego, a box of bits and pieces with screws and bolts for building a crane or helicopter, etc back in the 50s and 60s [i think] - released their 'kits' with one single piece missing, a screw, or bolt, to encourage the child/user to try and figure out how to get around the problem. so i believe it's highly likely devs would create 'ratman' if it was considered early in the design stage then dropped and one dev, working late, alone, might just throw in the code, a sound file, image file, deep in a mostly unused part of the game environment where the rest of the team won't notice. it's a human thing. we like to play weird games on each other.
but i'm very intrigued by all this. and i do often wander around the underground just to escape cops then find myself going deeper and deeper as curiosity takes a hold. this is a very long post. i'll shut up now.

Myth - Beechwood City Growler Investigators - Luis Lopez, Tony 'Tony' Prince We arrived in the general vicinity of Beechwood around about tea time but there was no time for tea. Our specialised transport a golf caddy tip top with eclectric charge. We scoured the streets listening for any growls, though this was hindered somewhat by tony's insistence on listening to LCHC, I think he's having a mid-life crisis. Nothing untoward I turned off onto a non existent junction almost sending us into the sea. I managed to regain control of the caddy and we ambled down to the beach. We came upon a childs' pushchair, which was a concern... We approached the gentlemen nearby and enquired about a growler 'Reptilian Death Ray' was their reply, this may or may not have something to do with anything to do with nothing. Tony suggested we check the bay for a missing child, I was beyond caring but what the hell it was a warm night. I was impressed that Tony could actually swim... in a suit. We found no child which was no surprise and swimming got boring fast. Returned to the pushchair and gave it a nudge, woah!!!! The pushchair seemed to posess supernatural properties and was animated, gliding around in it's own sub dimension. Evidence : No evidence of growler but recommend follow up investigation into crazy pushchair.
