Does anyone know the cheats for the mobile edition, and how do you enter them?

There are probably no cheats as there are no actual buttons on most of the supported mobile phones or the buttons vary at different types. But good thing the game can be modded as it is a complete port of the PC version and the files are nearly the same.

Yea, I looked at that. I'm going to make/port some mods. GTA III is to me one of the harder GTA games to play. I also noticed main_freeroam.scm in the files. Not very big of a file, but this may be something that Rockstar was originaly going to have. Do you think we could even have costom car mods, and map mods, ext..?

Edit: I tried all three scm files that were in there.
main.scm which is what the normal game uses worked on the PC version however something is different because I can't load saves.
main_d.scm spawns me outside Luigi's club with no missions to do, but the safe house and PayNSpray work, but the islands are locked so I'm stuck in portland.
main_freeroam.scm spawns me on the Callahan bridge with two Chita's next to me. All islands are unlocked, but the safe house and PayNSprays don't work.

I tested these on the PC, so they should work on the iPhone version, however you may need a jailbreak. One question. Is it possable to make two directorys on the iPhone/iPod tuch? This means the GTA III app will apear twice, and one will be modded.

Anyways I'm going to make a topic for modding this game on the mobile version.

The way that sounds is that their going to add them later. If they do there should be a cheat option in the pause menu, and the cheats you type in are the same as the PC/MacOS cheats.

They released this as a 10 year tribute to the most groundbreaking game ever. One of the things that made it so special was the amazing soundtrack it came with. Who cares about custom radio. Listen to the stations they are awesome!

Except this "loving tribute" is graphically a mess even. On ipad 2 and does not even have cheats or custom soundtrack. The gta3 soundtrack gets a little old after ten years.

If you like the game play it, if not don't f*cking play it i am so god damn sick of your bullsh*t, it is a direct port, they don't change soundtracks for PC ports do they? and many people buying the game will be playing for the first time so the soundtrack is new.

I plan to get an Iphone 4s soon, i was wondering how the game runs? Very smooth i assume since it is more powerful than the ps2.
As far as i can tell in this thread they have released patches for the game? So this means cheats can be implemented later, which leads to my next question, how will modding be done? do you download an app for it, or download mods from websites and such?

The cheats for GTA III on mobile devics are the same as on PC. You need an app to enter the cheats. On android you can use Game Keyboard. An other way to cheat is to connect a keyboard to your mobile device.

wow, kids today are spoiled. I love GTA 3, this came out when i was 9. I couldn't buy it since it was "M" I begged my mom to buy it for me. Now you can just download it in seconds off the app store, no ID or age! HAHA Kinda cool playing a PS2 game on my phone now. LOL And you can use the Accelerometer for driving!

Anyway, you guys really don't know how to do custom soundtracks? REALLY? LOL I remember I use to play Angry Birds and wanted to listen to my OWN music, but it would always fade out (same thing happens to other apps too). I downloaded "MusicBar Extended" or something like that from cydia, now can play the music on my phone and play Angry Birds. Its the same concept with GTA!

Download Music Bar ---> Turn off the radio in GTA settings ---> double-click the home button, click play, ---> custom sndtrk ^_^

When I want to change a song, just double-click the home button (or hold the home button). ITS EASY, quit complaining!

Well, yeah just download that if you want custom music. Cheats are available too, just tamper with files though! (unless on android!) Boy, how do I miss those crazy combinations on the ps2 controller. LOL

Only thing Rock* didn't do right is the aiming! Everything else is like sweet pie!
