Dodge seems to be resurrecting old names

And that's what I don't like. It's not a question of what name I would pick, it's a question of why they aren't picking new names. Resurrecting older names makes their products feel somewhat stale, because if they can't even put effort into thinking of a new name, how can I expect them to put effort into making an interesting car?

Frankly I am thankful that none of the Mopar brands have started using the alpha numerical crap that the luxury brands are using. Plus I don't see how using older names make the cars stale. Old names already have the recognition that the newer names don't have. Plus the trademarks are usually already in place and so it is slightly cheaper to use them.

I'm not to fond of the fact that it's called that dart, seeing as the Dart and the Duster are right up there at the top of my favorite old Mopar list, I love the old V-8 darts, the 340 Demon, the GTS etc.

I'm just not fond of this, not to bad looking, better than most other cars in it's class. I'm 50-50 on it. If it was me I would have called it the Shadow.

I just wanted to toss this in here. It was by chance that I decided to do the slideshow from our local news site(titled: Ads from the 70s) and this was in it.
