I loved the movie Duel. A classic! Okay, I love this new DODGE DART car. A great successor to the Neon, but I think a different name would have been good. Can't wait for the full reveal on January 9, 2012! I want to see this car in an SRT package, might beat the Neon! Maybe a good name would have been the Stealth, but overall, the new DART, and the reviving of the name, has been a success for Dodge. People are talking about it, and first impressions have been very positive. I hope it becomes a successful car for Dodge and company.

| QUOTE (Guns N R0se @ Friday, Dec 9 2011, 08:23) | European compact with a lawnmower engine.
| Our family has a 'tiny european compact' with the same lawnmower engine that this dodge dart's getting. It's a Fiat 500 Abarth.
The design of this is ugly as sin though, it's like an sialfadodgeGTCrocco mashup thing. Dodge is only reviving the Dart name in order to get more publicity, if they called it the new Neon or whatever the car wouldn't get half as much coverage.

What, the factory Swinger 340 hood? It's actually functional ya know? | I dig that it is functional and all. I'm just going gay with design look I guess. It's just personal preference ya know, but I think it would look better all smooth with those slightly sloped up sides of the front panels.

| QUOTE (Pat @ Monday, Dec 19 2011, 17:56) | | I do wish they had picked a different name, though. | What name would you have picked? Neon would have been fine, but some people found the car to be sh*t, plus it is a pretty recent name. Omni could have worked too, but it was a hatchback, while this is a sedan. Dodge seems to be resurrecting old names, and putting them on cars that would have been logical evolutions of them. The Dart was a compact back in the 60s and 70s, if it were still being built, it would most likely have adopted a front wheel drive platform if it stayed in production. The Charger would have added another set of doors, since large coupes don't sell as much as 4 door sedans. Plus chances are the avenger replacement will adopt an older name as well. I can see it being named the Monaco or Coronet
