| QUOTE (GHouse @ Monday, Jan 30 2012, 22:42) | | I hate to sound like a homer, but the Celtics lost to the Cavs on a few bullsh*t calls at the end. |
I didn't see the game, but I don't doubt it, man. NBA refs are historically awful. To me, they're the worst of the absolute worst in American professional sports. @ King Mystery, Listen to GHouse. Being atrocious on offense, I made my high school squad on hustle alone.. haha. If your offense is the strongest part of your game, by all means, show the coach that. If not, just run your ass off, hit the boards with a vengeance and play solid defense. Every team needs players like that.

| QUOTE (GHouse @ Monday, Jan 30 2012, 21:42) | @King Mystery Hate to be a downer, but when I was in the 5th grade trying out for my travel team the coach said the same thing, but I didn't make it. Also, out hustle everybody, that's another thing coaches look for. One last thing, ifyour taller than everyone else I wouldn't worry about making the team. | I'm not really super tall, but not short either. When we line up in order of height, I'm usually near the middle, leaning slightly towards the taller side. Yeah, I try to hustle a lot too. My coach overuses that word, so it's kind of hard to ignore.

| QUOTE (GHouse @ Wednesday, Feb 1 2012, 16:53) | | You can always work on your body.(muscle, stamina, vertical) | Yeah, I'm a really sh*t runner. I can run fast if I want to, but not for long periods of time and, well... I usually don't want to. Might have something to do with that.

| QUOTE (DOOM! @ Monday, Feb 13 2012, 03:13) | | I loved watching people doubt him when they placed him against Kobe. Jermey Lin can play ball but I think it'll change when you get your two best scorers back on the court. I definitely think his numbers will go down to say the least. |
That's no problem. Lin doesn't have to score a lot of points as long as he's getting Amar'e, Carmelo and other teamates easy shots. That's just as devastating. Sh*t, I've seen Nate Archibald, Magic Johnson & Jason Kidd dominate where they've only scored in the single digits, but they controlled the flow of the game. Amar'e will have no problem with Lin - after all, he lived off the pick&roll with Steve Nash for so many years. It's Carmelo that has to adjust. He can't stop the ball. Now, near the end of a close game, it's different. That's when you want your scorer to take over. @beto - Lin has a solid all-around game. Can't say that about Tebow(yet) until he improves his mechanics and is able to make legit NFL throws. This post has been edited by Funktipus on Tuesday, Feb 14 2012, 03:29

That was a wild game last night. Calderon abused Lin and the Knicks, but things started to turn once Pringles switched put Shumpert on him. Lin hit the game-winning shot, but Shump's 'D' was critical.
Carmelo was on with Mike Francesca a few minutes ago and said all the right things.
UPDATE: Happy-happy-joy-joy, Mike D'Antoni is OUTTA here! Never wanted him here in the first lace and never liked his style. He's overrated, stubborn and a gimmick coach like Don Nelson. Great coaches adjust their system to fit the talent(like Pat Riley). Not so with Pringles.
Knicks have won three straight, two against a solid Pacer team. It's so nice to have a coach who actually holds players accountable for screwing up on defense.

We're leader of Eastern Conference right now.
Glad I'm a Chicago fan in L.A., so I can piss off all the Fakers.
Made this in my boredom and to piss of my Laker friends. Go Rose. [Supreme] |
Bulls got smoked yesterday. You better hope Rose is healthy for the playoffs.
Looks like Jeremy Lin & Amar'e Stoudimire are done for the season. Our PG hopes rest on Davis, Bibby and Douglas...yikes.
Carmelo has to put the team on his back. |
Wow Hydraulic, I didn't know you were a Bulls fan. You have good taste. And we only lost to the Thunder because we short of two players. Two critical players. If Rose and Hamilton were there we would have beat the Thunder by at least 10 points. Looking at the Heat's performance on Sunday, all I have to say is that they cannot win an NBA championship with poor defense and not utilizing their whole team. That's why I think the Bulls can win the ECFs this year because they have great chemistry. Bulls would've won in Game 5 if Rose passed the ball to Korver during the end of the 4th quarter. Anyways, Asik, Gibson, AND Bradley all making Wade look like their bitch. This post has been edited by InstantCClassic on Tuesday, Apr 3 2012, 15:57
