The soundtrack is not really (For me hit songs put in game) I think of the Music that was produced for the game, all the eerie tones is creepy spots, the theme music and the action music.
Uncharted does this beautifully, matter of fact Uncharted is a fantastic all round game, i love it, i could say uncharted is as fun for me as Grand Theft Auto.

These are the two most memorable songs for me from a game soundtrack:
Not just because they are amazing songs, but because they play at the end of a hard and funny journey. And not to mention some from the old generation, such as Pokémon's (I guess I'm the only who cared to listen to these songs) and Zelda Ocarina of Time.

Red Dead Redemption in my view has one of the best sound tracks. Even the random musical pieces during online strongholds etc are masterpieces. Which perfectly fit the tension / mood / game / setting.
Indeed, I love Nate's theme. Didn't really appreciate it until the second game though. I remember getting a warm fuzzy feeling when i loaded uncharted 2 for the first time and heard it.

^^Agree'd, Bully had an amazing soundtrack, even some Hip Hop influenced beats thrown in there.. Actual Hip Hop though not commercial modern crap. Even the music that wasn't Hip Hop was still more than decent and perfectly matched the game what with it's mischievous style.
And not to mention some from the old generation, such as Pokémon's (I guess I'm the only who cared to listen to these songs)
I love all the songs from the first two generations of Pokemon. When the Indigo Plateau song started playing, you knew sh*t was about to get real.
Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald had the best Pokemon game soundtracks in my opinion. The whole rainy area between Mauville City and Lillycove had some of the most wonderful music to be played on a Gameboy Advanced. Maybe it was because I played this game all the time when I was younger, but the music was always my favorite.
I usually like 90s poppy beats, like Sonic The Hedgehog 2's chemical zone music, or the stuff in Streets of Rage 2 and 3.
