I'm gonna hype this one early, Still mentioned in Pre-Production, but I'm surely gonna see it, Since Movie topics tend to get posted PRETTY early here, was this one mentioned yet? I mean in the TV Movie chat of GTAF?

We were watching the Sam Jackson narrating a R rated nursery rhyme book and on YouTube the various responses from parents reading it for the first time, I can't recall the title, but that led to discovering his IMDB listing here.

Kurt Russel and Jamie Fox are in as well, this should be a good movie. SHould be.

Is it somehow related to this movie? Or a book? Or is it simply a fresh start?

Inspired by that, and influenced most likely by Sukiyaki Western Django. The character Django was in a series of old westerns, and since Tarantino loves the genre he is likely using the name in his work. I would bet it's totally unrelated to the original Django character aside from being a western.

The movie I linked is fun as hell. Worth a watch.

Jamie Fox's casting doesn't excite me all that much. QT offered it to Will Smith first but he turned it down. That would have been better. If Kurt Russell if definately in it then I'm excited for it.

Idris Elba was linked to that role too. That would have been sweeet.

All the new cult actors he's put in there sound amazing. Cohen, Johnson, Remar (!!) and LaPaglia are all amazing additions.

Edit: And oh ma gawd, my eyes completely missed the name "Michael Kenneth Williams". Best. Tarantino cast. Ever.

a fantastic cast doesn't make a great movie though, Tarantino is also little over rated IMO, sure I loved Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs, but Kill Bill and some of the other more recent sh*t has been a little bit too "up its own ass", I liked Inglorious Basterds though smile.gif

Jamie Foxx is a solid actor in his own right. He can handle his own. Collateral? Word.

Recently caught Jackie Brown, and it's a totally underrated Tarantino film (never thought I'd use that combo of words). The thing I love about Tarantino is that he fills his films with good music, as opposed to stock pop that appears in a lot of films. I'll definitely check this one out, but as far as I know he's going for the spaghetti Western type film with it, as opposed to something more serious like 3:10 to Yuma or The Assassination of Jesse James. But I'm fine with that.

Absolutely. I'd put that in my top 3 Tarantino movies easily.

Yeah someone ought to edit the title or something. The movie has been known about for quite a while (there's a script of it on the internet) so I'm surprised it took this long for someone to make a thread...

If the music is not made by Ennio Morricone I am not watching. It's not much to go by, but Algeri 1 Novembre, 1954 being featured in IB might be a good sign. Right?

He'll probably die before it even gets into production though. Typical. sneaky2.gif

QT wanted Morricone for IB but he was busy with another project. So he decided to just use some of his old stuff instead. Wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if he managed to get Morricone involved with this project.

But yeah, I love his music. I have his Venice performance saved on my Sky+, freakin amazing.

I didn't even catch any other Morricone pieces in IB other than the wildly obvious one. Though it's been two years or so since I saw the movie and I didn't really look into Morricone until a good while after seeing it. Looking over the soundtrack, I see there was a Lalo Schifrin piece in there too. That's awesome. Hopefully old Ennio will be available for this one. And not dead.
