Black Ops had better characters than any of those you just mentioned. Reznov, Mason, Hudson. I feel like that was the only game that tried to not have plastic characters. Soap and co. were the most generic characters I've ever seen in ANY game. Don't get me started on the storyline of the MW games. That sucks too.
Black Ops II actually has the potential to have a good storyline. It's the first CoD game I've been excited for in a while, simply for the campaign.

I haven't looked into any Blops2 stuff, anyone with a good video from like machinma or youtube COD personalities to show off some stuff? I was a big fan of Blops1, though I have missed every second CoD title.

Have not touched MW3 even though it looked really good, I got into fighting games instead though haha. I missed the mw2 scene when it first came out too. Should I just get MW3 now for cheap and play with that for while? The CoD titles have a huge fanbase and I can still get matches in mw2 and blops1 so there will be still people playing mw3 right?

The old Cod's didn't have a story but the missions and battles were rememberable, intense & re-playable. See that's the problem with the new ones, the story still sucks but the missions aren'T that great either, so they're wasting time trying to improve storyline when we only really care for fun factor.

Cheesiest storylines? CoD1 and 2 had some of the best intertwining storylines I've ever played. World at War had a memorable story too. Cheesy? Well, that's your opinion dogg.

I'm not a fan of the future warfare, just me personally really, but yeah the idea of what happened in the 80's having a knock-on effect on whats happening in 2025 is pretty cool, does make you think about how history repeats itself.

TBH, I would just ignore them. I actually take back what I said about this game. It looks amazing, a big step up from Black Ops 1. The graphics have changed somewhat, but that doesn't matter. The weapon selection looks very cool, there are plenty of things you can come up with. Finally, the multiplayer looks very cool. I like the way everything looks now, like I said before, it's a big step up from Treyarch's last game, and I hope they continue on the path of sucess.

I WILL buy this game.

On the contrary. What we need is for them to drop the single player. It surely compromises the multiplayer in that the maps are sections of single player levels. Drop single player and give us super variety.

Sorry if exposing the most redundant things I've heard about CoD has hurt your feelings.
