| QUOTE (Tyler @ Sunday, May 20 2012, 20:14) | | All of the more casual gaming friends I have- the ones who mostly play Call of Duty and the like, have a love/hate relationship with the series. They get wonderfully happy when they're doing good in multiplayer, and when it's the other way around they think the game is a horrible clone and not worth their money. I feel like the people who openly berate Call of Duty for it's unoriginality despite it already being stated hundreds of times before are that type of person. | I bought MW2 a year or more later after it got released, and so I was always getting thrown in with all the players who had been on there since the beginning, people who had prestiged all the way to level 10 and whatnot. This was the first CoD game that I had played online, so this added with the high level players, saw me getting killed quite often, and I averaged around 5 kills per round, if that, which I would say made me pretty sh*t at the game, but it didn't mean I disliked the game, and disagree with your point completely. Maybe 10% of the players are like this, but I'm starting to suspect that some gamers are waking up to the realisation that we are actually just getting fobbed off, and they know the game will sell no matter what. I sold MW3 a week after buying it, but this had nothing to do with me sucking at MP or anything, it was the fact that the game didn't warrant the £45 price tag (and definitely not the £90 one that I had originally put down on the pre-order), and the fact that so many elements that made MW2 enjoyable had been replaced.
I couldn't care less what happens in BO2, as I wouldn't actually buy it anyway. I never purchased BO because it seemed too different for me, and I was happy playing MW2 at the time.
I know it's a couple of years off now (or a year and a half), but they need to seriously put some thought into what happens in MW3, if that happens to be the next one after BO2. Personally, for me, I'd be happier if they started a new series completely and went back to some older settings, as so many have been wanting to happen.
@Finn...MW3 wasn't fun though.

The only comparison is the engine it runs on, apart from that, MW2>MW3. Maybe I just didn't give it enough of a chance, but my God that game sucked balls.

Maybe I just didn't give it enough of a chance, but my God that game sucked balls. | That's my opinion, the game is quite different but the similarities which I really dislike are; - Deathstreaks, nobody should be rewarded for dying, they are trying to make it fair, nope that does not help.
- Gun recoil, very low and very similar to mw2
- Low health/ high stopping power, I liked black ops so much because a quick spray wont kill you, you have to hit more bullets dealing with more recoil, if you cant aim you cant just go spraying around with smgs killing everyone.
- No assassin, come on your higher uav streaks should reveal all, ghost on the otherhand I can deal with, overcome by motion sensors or blackbirds.
- Quickscoping, far too easy I hate it, if black ops hit detection was spot on it was perfect Imo.
The core mechanics are very similar butter's whether you admit or not, that is why I do not like either mw2 or mw3. This post has been edited by finn4life on Tuesday, May 22 2012, 03:32

The core mechanics are very similar butter's whether you admit or not, that is why I do not like either mw2 or mw3. | Well obviously the core of the game is similiar, or it would be a completely different game, but in terms of what they tried to change to make for 'better gameplay' is what completely ruined MW3. Not getting in to it all since this is the BOII topic, but I thnk I made my view clear in the MW3 topic numerous times.
Whereas I didn't play BO, apart from the demo, this is yet again looking to be completely changing, so why the need to put the BO title on to the game? Maybe I actually am missing something from not playing BO, but if so, please explain...
