I've been saying it all along, I don't think all these characters are protagonists. I think some of them will be NPCs you become involved with!

About the speculation, if R* only choose 1 protagonist, I think the so called "balcony guy" would be the Protagonist, but we could have multiple protagonists (though it will be unfocused, because we are focused on 2 stories in the same time)

Why ? Look at the van scene, that guy comes from the driver seat. Have you play any missions about robbing a bank ("Breaking the Bank at Caligulas" from GTA SA, "Three Leaf Clover" from GTA IV, "The Job" from GTA Vice City, "The Getaway" from GTA III) that involving you sit on a car as a passenger ?

NO, you the one that responsible for driving you crews to the place that have to be robbed.

The older guy on the balcony wasn't driving the van, he got out of the passenger seat. Someone else wearing white was driving.

I think it's the 40 something Year old on the Balcony, and driving the Blue Ubermacht car. He's seen the most in the trailer, and the Voice that's narrating seems to be in the same age group as him. I honestly think he'd be an interesting person, though who isn't interesting in GTA. And as someone said he's not to old, but he seems old enough to know his way around the criminal world, and it sounded like the narrator did too. It all adds up to me at leased

The other people who pop up a few times might be DLC people and a EFLC thing might happen, or could just be random people, or people involved in the story a few times.

I don't think Jerry is the protag, or has a possibility, no doubt he might be involved in the game if it is him, but I don't think he's protag material.

nah dude the balcony guy came out the passenger seat. There is one photo where you can see the driver in that scene and its looks like the hispanic guy.

I do quite like the sound of the protagonist, if he is the guy who was narrating the trailer, however there's one thing about him that bothers me.

He seems to follow that trend of protagonists who aim to try and avoid a life of crime, but end up involved in it again, with inflicted emotions.

There's not really anything wrong with that, but in my opinion, it doesn't really offer us a sense of uniqueness.

Yeah there is what looks to be a hispanic guy with tattoos driving, but the picture isn't clear enough to know for sure.

I'm actually starting to believe there will be 2 playable characters the old guy and the guy in the vest, what caught my eye is that they both seem to be driving similar cars except the old guy drives a blue car while the other guy drives a red maybe that is some sort of visual representation of their differences maybe rich and poor(fits with the money theme), good and bad, cold/chilled and firery it could also represent what type of missions each will partake in blue doing the more laid back methodial missions and red doing the more extreme explosive missions.

Im probably reading too much into things but whatever.

I would tend to agree with everything you've said here based on information we have thus far.

I don't see Jerry as a protagonist mainly because the only time we even think we've seen him in the trailer is as a homeless guy. I don't see us having any missions to stand in the street with a sign collecting as much change as possible. He just didn't come off to me as a playable character, if that makes sense. That's why I didn't include him in the first post.

About the multiple protag theory, I don't buy it, I don't think Rockstar would do that unless it's DLC like with IV, or they pull a RDR, which would be a bit predicable.

Yeah Jerry can't be the protag, I don't see him out and about Killing people and blowing up things, but maybe he'd be involved a bit, or is just Rockstar's way of saying it's in the IV era still.

Yeah but all the info thus far points to the 40 year old guy, and I kinda like that, he seems like he's been around and knows what to do, a bit like Johhny, Niko or Tommy (Well more so Tommy than Niko) and it seems like even though he got pulled into crime again he's jsut going to roll with it and make bank.

Definitely. If you've got a dedicated get away driver, it would make the mission more interesting to be the one going in side. I never liked having to wait while everyone else has all the fun.
