They weren't in SA, but the tar pits were in LA Noire, so I hope they add them to GTA V aswell.

They could have an updating advertisement of some kind - be it for Rockstar products or for fictional GTA-Universe things. Skate 2 had this, all the billboards and posters in the game updated to include new ads, on of the ones I remember was they all advertised the X-Men Origins Wolverine movie at one point.

I doubt Rockstar will ever put real ads in any GTA title as it would ruin the feel of the universe. But they would put real ads in "real" games like Midnight Club, or Max Payne.


Honestly, I'd like to see in game advertisements that either change as the story progresses, or just randomly get switched around every 30 in game days. They should be on billboards and bus stops too, so you get the feeling of a changing environment.

It was weird seeing GameStop and Best Buy in Midnight club; right down to the interior textures. I feel like they will make something perverted with the ads.

Midnight Club, as I said, I can understand as it's based on the real L.A. It may have seemed a little out of place(does kind of stick out).

In GTA it would stick out way more, overall I'd say it's not Rockstar's style(Bestbuy and Gamestop weren't really advertisements), while EA seems to put advertisements in everything.

I'm very sure that it's an advertisement for a fictional video game. I think it's a parody of Saints Row: The Third because:

1. The color purple is used
2. SR3 and GTA are both sandbox games, so since GTA IV advertised there, I expect a similar game to advertise in the fictional universe of Los Santos
3. Seems to depict 3 characters, perhaps Gat, Shaundi and Pierce.

Well the map i uploaded has deserts, mountains and oceans as the boundaries. And also, the thing about the unrealistically high mountains. What i think Rockstar will do is have a vast mountainous region where the game code will either automatically turn you around with a message like "Unfinished Business" or "Where Am I Going" or it will just let you fly over the mountainous landscape endlessly until a until either the game or your plane crashes or maybe the map is round so you circle back around to Los Santos.

1) Do you really think that there will be a "witty" message like that? Do you REALLY think so??
2) ... no, just no.
3) So .. either completely landlocked (we already know there's the ocean so no) or "flying over ocean.. Suddently a wild mountain region appears!"

It'll be an island(s) again. As it has been since man learned to fly in GTA universe. (No, in III you were not supposed to be able to fly).

I'm not a LA resident either, but considering that LS is LA condensed and everything is closer to each other, that could be the Thomas Vincent Bridge. Just wild guess.

Actually there's a reason for that. It's clear mix of the paper rip from the mysterious GTA4 poster and the original layout of the southeast area of the original Los Santos.

The maker of the map can correct me if I'm wrong.

the map could still be land locked, you would just have to learn you piloting skills and you wouldn't get to go to pilot school until later in the game
