It depend on the video, my answer is no, you don't have to ask permission to make a video but you have to ask permission to post it. You must show the designer first, what if the player in the video don't play along the mission, for example: typing cheats, hide, try to do stupid things or something like that,...So if the designer agree, he can post the video. BTW, I want to subscribe.

Well, define need. Legally, you obviously don't NEED to. As far as DYOM rules and regulations go, I'm pretty sure there's nothing about that in there.
You CAN obviously make a video about their mission, and just add commentary over it just bashing it and calling it bad, or do whatever. If you're asking if it's "morally" ( or ethically, or whatever) right to do that, then that depends. Some mission creators will want you to make a video about their mission, some won't, so if you want to be really fair you should ask each mission creator.
However. The biggest reason many gaming companies such as EA don't like their games being let's played on the internet is because people might not play the game and watch the LP instead, so they're losing money. There's no money to be lost in DYOM, and it's just free publicity (making the game more popular, as someone said) and generally people will play that mission if it looks fun.
Main point, you can ask each person in particular before LPing their mission, but first of all, most of them, if not all, will say yes, and second of all, if you don't want/can afford to waste time asking everyone and waiting for responses, nobody will probably mind, so just go for it.
Also, someone said that you don't need permission from the mission designer because it's like LPing a video game. That's kinda really wrong, because not only is it not the same thing, but a lot of let's plays have been taken down from youtube (ones that aren't making money for youtube and, consequentially, for the gaming publishers) by companies. But in this case it's A-ok to let'sp lay the missions.
