Dad's first car - '67 Impala. Back then, you'd get a beater winter car every year because the snow around here would cause major problems. They'd have demo derbies and play bumper tag and all that crazy sh*t. Any of you older members remember that? Trip might, since he's in Philly. He worked at a dealership for a long time. At this place, the employees got a new company car every couple months, so he always had one of the newest cars available to cruise. I was talking to him about it once and he drove, like, 40 different cars during his time there. He had an old drag car, a 72 Vega Wagon I think (plus or minus a few years), that he used to race with. He had a '34 Ford Coupe street rod he sold a few years before I was born. Two weeks later the guy he sold it to (great condition, built from the ground up) says he totaled it and is looking for parts. He has a 1980 El Camino SS Royal Knight right now that he bought new. He also has a 2011 GMC Sierra for towing and transport (with red lights - he's a fire chief). Mom had a multitude of winter cars and good condition cars as well. The last one was a '72 Malibu SS California car. Her mother has a '57 Chevy. My aunt bought the Malibu and has an 80s Camaro too. My uncles on my dad's side have/had a '69 Camaro SS, 1980 Trans Am, and a 2008 Mustang (Trans Am still owned). Lots of cars in my family.

Hmm.. Mother doesn't drive, but these are my dads current cars:
2001 BMW E39 M5 2009 Fiat 500 Abarth 1995 Jeep Cherokee Limited 4L
Until very recently he also had a 1997 BMW M3 Convertible, that's now been sold.
In the past couple of years he's owned:
Another 1997 M3 Convertible, this was bought with a VANOS fault and sold cheap. 1993 Mitsubishi Pajero Exceed 2.5 1996 BMW M3 Evolution. This was his main car from 2001 to 2008, much loved.
During the ownership of the M3 he's had a couple of things: (No particular order)
1992 Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo 1993 BMW E32 730i 1986 Rover SD1 Twin plenum 1995 Mitsubishi FTO GPX 1986 Ford Capri 2.8 Injection 1998 Ford Mondeo Ghia X 2.5 V6 1989 Mitsubishi Starion 2.6
And heres all the other thing he's owned prior to 2001: Various Mitsubishi Starions Several Ford Capri V6's Several Triumph TR7's, a couple of them with Rover V8s Triumph Stag Opel Manta GTE Several Triumph Dolomite Sprints. Ford Escort RS Turbo
His car history has been rather exciting compared to mine haha, mine has been so far a 1989 Austin Metro City X 998 in blue, that's been scrapped and I now drive a 1990 Austin Metro City in blue.

Agreed. Bad-ass list of motors. |
Well..... it's a taste question. In my opinion Illousion's parents had some sweet rides. And fireguy's parents and family... wow. You have a really cool family there, man. This post has been edited by Markwey on Thursday, Oct 20 2011, 18:45

Uh...not really. Downsized smogged Cadillacs and automatic Volvos aren't really that cool. Caddys were cool when they were the size of your average WW2 era tank and had an engine bigger than one. Those were cool. Sevilles...not so much. That was nothing more than a little rebadged Nova. | QUOTE | | And fireguy's parents and family... wow. |
Now there are some actual cool ones there. Although majority of them seem to be owned by other relatives. The Vega drag car and the old Ford street rod were the only notable ones he owned. A 67 Impala wasn't really anything special unless it had a big block. Starion's dad has owned consistently cool cars and a good number of them have been documented on here for the past half decade. Not many people here had these in their driveway. Not to mention the Triumphs, the hot Fords, the SD1, the Twin Turbo Z, and the Turbo Starion. f*cking awesome, my old man had one aswell. T'was a 1964, blue and sold brand new in Sweden. It was his first car. What year was yours? | '65 i think. My parents also used it as their wedding car. Fathers american car "hobby" pretty much died as me and the rest of our familys kids were born. But he's always been more into 70-80´s eurocars anyways. Also a few additions to the list from the days before i was born: -67' Impala (at least 2 or three) -Fiat 127 Abarth -Volvo Amazon -Saab 99 turbo -Ford Anglia '63, first car. -More escorts
