Hi, I want to familiarize myself with the basics of scripting (HTML, preferably) and I know like, nothing. So I was wondering, where do I start? Any links/recommended reads/tutorials are welcome, or you can give a basic explanation here if it¡s possible. I know it's complicated, or it can be complicated, so any help given will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

If w3schools doesn't do it for you, I found this to go at a great pace.

Start with HTML, it is really easy to learn as there isn't that much to learn. Then go to CSS, which I found really easy because almost ever site has it, which you can look at to see how they did stuff. I used firebug or chrome developer tools to study HTML and CSS.

http://www.goodellgroup.com/tutorial/introduction.html
it's intended for kids and its slightly out of date but it is very concise and easy to follow
I followed this and could do everything in the tutorial easily after about 3 hours total.
