IDK, I never had problems with crashing (but maybe that's just because I'm so used to my PSP's little joystick-nub-thing), not to say that driving isn't somewhat difficult with the perspective.

The birdseye view was perfect for the Nintendo DS. I never had any problem with it at all!

No no no no.

The charm of Chinatown Wars is in the topdown view, finally brought back from GTA 1&2. It's what makes the game fun.

If I had to play this in 3D with the same kind of coloring and shading it would look horrible. Not to mention the cutscenes being completely out of place.

The camera never seemed zoomed out enough for me. Some cars were ungodly fast and I would ram into everything. But the bigger problem is I almost always got a wanted star because there was a cop just off screen that I couldn't see. If it was a typical 3D street view it would be easy to do a quick 360 and see if any cops are around, but when you're looking straight down they get to hide easier.

I don't understand why not being able to see far into the distance is a problem. All the cars can quickly react to your controls so that you can avoid crashes. The damage system within the game is extremely lenient. Sideswiping police cars doesn't get you wanted. There's an option to have your cars automatically align to the roads. All that and still not satisfied?

My complaint: racing isn't exactly easy when you have to have lightning-fast reactions to get around random traffic. Especially in that one race with the Formula R's. At least in the PSP version the camera could have been pointed forwards more!

Riding a motorcycle in CTW is near impossible. You will crash it often.

For the PSP version, maybe. For the DS version, nope. The overhead rotatable view makes it kind of unique. It's sort of like a combination of both the bird's eye view and third-person view. I agree with the motorcycles though. They're a pain to drive.

I was gutted when it was a birdseye view. I spent over £30 on it really excited as I didn't have many games on the ds I would of loved it to be like normal 3rd person gta but it wasn't however the one good thing about the game was bringing in the drug dealing I hope they add it to V
