Any chance of making an 'Unofficial' Multi-Quote button, similar to the style of the original?

Maybe the forums might even make it official, and help promote/advertise it for you.

Sure, if someone could make the images for those buttons. I'm not good with graphics stuff.

QUOTE (maxorator @ Sep 13 2011, 23:44)
I made a little multiquote script for GTAForums. If you install it, you will see a black box next to every "Quote" button. If you click it, it turns red, meaning this post has been added to multiquote list (turns yellow first, red once it has loaded the data). Clicking it again removes it from the list. A "Multiquote" button appears along the other buttons in both normal and fast reply. If that button is clicked, the quotes will be inserted to the textarea and the quote list will be emptied.

Currently it forgets the previous quote list if you quote something from a different thread. Only quoted posts from the same thread can be generated into the reply box.

http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/112956

It requires Greasemonkey in Firefox, but works by default in Chrome.

Well, it does what it says on the tin. Read over the source code and looks harmless.*

Nice work.

*someone doublecheck that.

Sweet, thanks man, always wondered how to do this <.<

Both on the topic view and when adding a reply...

I have one slight issue with this tool, and it's the fact that the quotes will automatically be added to the end of the post, no matter where the cursor is. I'm only bringing it up as I'm also using the tool that allows for custom tags to be automtically added to the post, and if I try add the quotes to the beginning of the post, they still appear after the other tags. No biggie. moto_whistle.gif

I have updated the script so that the quotes are added at the cursor location, overwriting any text that is selected.

Can I just point out that this Also works for those people who are using Safari.

If you are using Safari, don't go through the annoying process of trying to get Greasemonkey working in Safari.

You can use NinjaKit (Found Here) Just click on "Safari:NinjaKit For Safari" and install the Plugin, then go to the page Maxorator pointed us to in earlier posts (This One) and Click "Install" then your done.

Fantastic tool, I noticed that no one else had posted this so I thought I would so all those people who use Safari can enjoy this.

I am using Google Chrome.

Ooh neat, that's very productive saves a lot of time. Works like a charm. Did you just create this as a 'just because I can?' but anyway very helpful.

Just thought it would be useful since it was quite annoying to quote multiple posts. smile.gif

Once I figure out where to put the images, I'll update the script to include a multiquote button with a similar system as the other forum buttons (ALMOST610 sent me the images for that).

Sorry for the double post, but there's a new version of the script.

Now it uses proper images for the multiquote button that match the forum style.

Thanks to ALMOST610 for the images and Suction Testicle Man for uploading them to a GTANet server.

Little update. Made it preload the selected/loading image, so that when you click on the multiquote button for the first time, those images will appear instantly instead of loading for a short while.

Awesome, it always bugged me a little when that happened, my solution was to load the images direct from my HDD.

Pretty nice addon. I always wondered why IPB never had the option to multi-quote. Thanks a lot.
