This is a "detective" storyline with some similarities to LA Noire; Hardboiled (By Jackal1337) ; but with added features to really take advantage of objects and thinking. Two Detectives...Two Stories..Two Cases. Both stories crossover and have the same main goal, but each detective is fighting to get the bust for himself. The player will be encouraged to use thinking and observe the objects near him as Invisible checkpoints are placed, take pictures of Clues and work together with his partners.

Local Market Robbery- Desk 2, Case 2
Gang War in Glen Park- Desk 2, Case 2

Characters:

Protagonist and Partners

James Barretta- He is the protagonist for this story. Everyday James worked as a boring Mall Security Guard, that eventually changes after one encounter with a criminal. Apparel:Desk 1, Desk 2, Desk 3, Desk 4, Desk 5

Byron Williams
Partner in: Desk 2
Byron is one of the better deputies in the LSPD. He has never had a full time partner and James is his first partner. He follows most orders from Officer Jackson. Byron always takes 1 step further in the investigations with his interesting theories. He is a loyal partner who will help you any way he can.
Weapon of Choice: Desert Eagle

Guo Tseng
Partner in: Desk 3
He is a Middle Class Detective who wants to help the Lower Class Detectives with their cases. His parents were born in China, but he was raised in the United States. He is willing to get his hands dirty if that means getting the job done.
Weapon of Choice: Shotgun

Alexandra Cross
Partner in: Desk 4 Case 1
It is unknown how she got her detective career, but she does a damn good job at it. She is a good friend of Walter who came to visit him at the end of Desk 3 for James. It is rumored around the LSPD that her and Walter had more than just a friendship.
Weapon of Choice: SMG

Hired Bodyguards
Partner in: Desk 4 Case 2
In Desk 4 Case 2, James gets some bodyguards to protect him as he has a hit contract on his head. There are 3 Bodyguards. One has a specialty in Investigations, another is helpful in large gun fights with his superb accuracy, and the third has extra protective body armor.
Weapon of Choice: 1. Shotgun, 2. AK-47, 3. Desert Eagle

Other Major Characters
Walter Peterson
Introduced in: Welcome Deputy, James
Walter is the chief of the Desk 2 and 3 cases. He was looking for more deputies to train to keep the streets safe. He can get a little tense and sometimes overreact. He wants to train James for Desk 3 Low Class Detective. It is learned he has connections with the mayor and is a good friend of him. Walter and Detective McNarty also are close friends.

Officer Jackson
Introduced in: Welcome Deputy, James
Officer Jackson is the captain of Desk 2 Deputy cases. He is in charge of all Deputy cases and is trying to get some deputies ready for desk 3. He also runs cases in Desk 4. He wants James to become a hero some day and question authority.

Phillip "Phil" McNarty
Apparel: Desk 3, Desk 4, Desk 5.
Introduced in:Dead on the Red Carpet
Phil McNarty is hard working Detective who is in Desk 3, while James is still in Desk 2. They have met a couple times off duty, but never really got to know each other. When he meets James at the movie star case, Phil is bitter against James, saying he is going to steal his job. Even though he wants to keep his cases separate with James, they might be forced to work together.

Case Notes
Here are the notes saved in each case. Only view them if you completed the case as they will have spoilers.

Unlockable Pickups
Weapons are Officers 2nd best friends, and even detectives. Here is a list of all weapons you will unlock as you rank up.

Nightstick (Unlocked at Desk 1)
This is your first weapon you should consider in a Brawl. Every type of officer of the Law carries one of these things.

9mm Pistol (Unlocked at Desk 2)
This is a simple weapon, It is good if you don't intend to get into any large shootouts, but need to protect yourself.

Body Armor (Unlocked at Desk 2)
You are going to need this to definitely protect yourself from the criminals.

Desert Eagle (Unlocked at Desk 3)
A lot better than the 9mm. This weapon is a Detective's best choice for it's power and mobility.

Shotgun (Unlocked at Desk 3)
The Shotgun is used for Close enemies in short corners. This weapon is better for the bigger shootouts.

Camera (Unlocked at 50% into The Dead Movie Star case)
Your camera is very helpful as a detective. Taking pictures of the crime scene will help you remember where important clues are if you forget.

SMG (Unlocked at Desk 4)
It is not great as an assault rifle, but it is good for taking out threats from medium distance with a great fire rate.

Health Upgrade (Unlocked at Desk 4)
It is just a health upgrade to Show that the PD is proud for your hard work.

Sniper (Unlocked at Desk 5)
Why does it take so long to get this weapon!? Because it is for the most bad ass detectives and police. You may be asked to provide sniper support because you are just that bad ass.

M4 (Unlocked at Desk 5)
This weapon is good for large armies. Even though you are a detective, there will be those times where they need something heavy.

Unlockable Vehicles

LS Police Cruiser (Unlocked at Desk 2)
It is a well balanced police car that has Decent Control, Durability and speed. There is nothing special besides holding 4 people.

Detective's Buffalo (Unlocked at Desk 3)
It is a black buffalo commonly used by Low Class Detectives, but also higher ranks. It provides a good speed boost while on a chase and bullet proof tires so it cannot pop. Only Disadvantages is it is not very Durable and can only hold 2 people.

Detective's Sultan (Unlocked at Desk 4)
This is a good vehicle used by high class detectives. It has balanced speed and durability, and is even better because of it holding 4 people.

SAPD Chopper (Unlocked at Desk 5)

This is only for the higher ranks. Traveling is made easier to go between cases. It has everything a detective wants. Flying, 4 seats, and good durability.

EXTRA NOTES:

This storyline is being created using DYOM v6.1 Recommended to upgrade to play all missions and get full experience

Some missions may require Passenger mod+ Driveby mod. It will be clear in the mission. The mods can be found by downloading this mission

Even though It is more "Detective".. There are some things you might find similar with SA Noire. There will be a lot of use of objects. It is going to take some thinking.

Im not sure myself, but I think the entire story is looking at 40-70 missions. The missions will not be too long, but Each Case will have a DSL folder. I don't want to overwhelm anyone or myself yet. But thats my predictions.

LA Noire is similar because there are about 3-5 cases per Desk and 5 desk. Each Case takes around 30-60 mins to complete.

Our cases might take 30-45 mins to complete.

Thanks for the luck biggrin.gif, we are gonna need it.

From the looks of your pics and the video, (I haven't played them though), this story has no f*cking similarity with yours.
So, NO.
This story is more like relaxing, sit back and solving the damn cases, some will involve gun fights or brawls.

Played training mission, I will not rate it because it's only training, oh, and I recommend to put the player only 25 health, so It will be hard and make more real the game, a few bullets should kill the player, all missions were good.

Damn the officer that poisoned the other officer's food, damn him, damn him!

Play your intro, LCJ

I like the investigation training, looks like you are really serious about this storyline

Oh, btw, you should turn off the wanted level in shooting training. But the cops not bugging me while I'm trying to beat the mission

Keep it up. I'd like to wait for the next pack
