Hi! I just installed iCEnhancer. GTA IV starts with RGSC, I login, then the black window appears, and then it disappears. I CAN'T PLAY IT! What happens? What's wrong? I unrared files, copied them into GTA IV folder. I REPLACED A LOT OF FILES, is that the problem? I was asked if I wante to replace some files with the same name, I said yes to all of them.

If there is any solution, thell me.

If not, HOW DO I UNINSTALL IT?

i see 2 reasons:
1. you gpu is too weak
2. you didn't make your gta moddable

have you not read my reply to your prior thread?

EDIT:uninstall the whole game unless you have backups of your files

1st rule of modding: ALWAYS MAKE BACKUPS OF FILES YOU'RE REPLACING/MODFYING

OH MY GOD!

OK calm down.

What I did was right click and selected "undo paste", so every mod file was apparently deleted.

Thing is GTA IV still doesn't start.

Does it have anything to do with the fact I REPLACED some files from the original to the MODDED?

OK, how do i backup my files and save games? I think it's late for the files, but if I unisntall GTA IV and reinstall it, I can go on playing from where I left off thanks to the save games backup.

when you uninstall gta
it'll ask you if you want to delete your saves
choose NO, though read the question and how it's phrased as your choice depends on it
if you're using the legitimate copy, with windows live, then your saves are in(for win 7/vista):
YOUR USERNAME/appdata(it's hidden, you'll have to make it appear via folder options in contro panel)/local/rockstar games/

you backup your files just by copying them to another place before replacing
what you did with the undo paste is just sent your files to recycle bin(the modded files)
and since you don't have backups your original files are now lost
reinstall and you'll be good

OK, so I found my save games. You said to backup files I ahd to copy them in another place, I suppose it's the same thing with save games, right? So when I unisntall GTA IV, it will delete everything but save games. Then after I install it again, I put the save games back to that hidden foulder.

yea that's how everything's backed up
you might not need to backup saves though, but do it to be sure
gta will ask you if you want to leave or delete your saves when you uninstall it(via contro panel of course)

GTA IV is unistalled, but save games are safe.

So now I have to install it again, and everything will be fine.
