Maybe you guys can help me out here.
I found (recommended to) a website that had movie/film ratings and the feature was that it combined scores from Rotten Tomatoes, IMDB, and Metacritic so you didn't have to click back and fourth so much. You could see at a glance what site gave what rating to a film and then click straight direct to that film/review.
The site layout was a grey and green combination if I recall correctly.
thoughts?

I was arguing with my friend about counterfeiting\replicating coins (not that I want to actually do it) and my method was to make a model of the coin by placing it in some sort of material that will copy the shape of the coin and the embossed parts (the writing and the other shapes). The material where I placed the coin will then contain the model of the coin and then I would pour a similar colored melted metal and reproduce the coin.

My friend said that the replicated coin would have the text backwards and I disagreed. The model of the coin made in the respective material would be reversed but the actual copy would be the same as the original. Am I right, or would the replica have the text and shapes in reverse\mirrored?

You're correct. You're also one step closer to prison. Don't forget the sound off the coin when bounced of a hard surface and especially the weight (many modern vending machines can sense it). Counterfeit's also have an odd 'feel' to people who handle coins frequently.

Say, "Hi!" to the Secret Service for me. smile.gif

Pfft, why not just use one of these:

Disclaimer: I do not condone committing the felony of counterfeiting.

I have already stated I am not going to do it, we were just arguing. It wouldn't be worth it anyway, unless you get the materials for free or something.

Fake coins are called slugs, atleast where I'm from, and they don't usually have the imprinted markings and presidents face on them. If they are simply used in machines they just have to be the same size and weight. But why make fake coins when you can get real ones buy tapeing a string to dollar? Joking - don't do it, if you want money get a job. Nobody is going to respect a guy in prison who made a few fake coins. Now, fake keys on the other hand....

At primary school we used to have put our dinner money in a little tub when we did the register and our name was called. This was before Jamie Oliver went on his crusade against chubby little funsters scoffing pizza and chips. It was a pound for dinner. I remember one day a kid put a fake quid in it without knowing, but the hawk eyed teacher noticed and called him out on it, and the kid looked so confused and embarrassed. He clearly didn't know but the teacher thought he had done it deliberately, it was like some sh*t out of the Sopranos. Poor little Ben, it looked like his kneecaps were about to be removed.

You can search them on google, no?
Step 1. Open google
Step 2. Search keywords: 'google doodles'

If you click on "I'm Feeling Lucky" on Google.com without having typed anything in the search bar, it'll take you straight there.

Since the auto-predict came, I always used to wonder why the 'feeling lucky' button existed because the moment I entered something in the keyword field, search results came up for the first predicted keywords. Thanks for the info.

So this might sound like a weird request but I could make 10,000 bucks if I figure this out (plus I don't really like that the guy isn't locked up anyway). There's this house down the street from where my father lives, and the woman living there told my dad years ago that this guy who lives there had a warrant out for his arrest and that he killed someone earlier on. When my dad told me about it, I spoke to some relatives who are federal/state police and they put me in contact with a local detective who I spoke to twice. The detective basically said he can't do anything more about the guy without the last name, then he called me again just the other day saying that if I could get him the last name, he could go after the guy. I have the phone number of the house, I know the address and everything, but I don't know the guy's last name, only his first. Is there some way I could try to get the last name out of the woman on the phone or something? I was thinking of calling and saying I'm from a political campaign or something and maybe giving them a fake last name and tricking them into correcting it or something, but the guy obviously can't vote because he's got a warrant out for his arrest. I don't know - what do you guys think?

Damn this is juicy. Well if he's on the run as it were, I doubt he would be naive enough to give his proper last name anyways. But I'm confused about a few details. Like why would the woman who's living there rat on the guy who's living with her? And you're positive that you'd get a reward? And why exactly would you need to get his last name? I'd have thought if the police had good reason to believe that a wanted murderer was found then they'd follow up the lead/tip off themselves. The situation is a bit confusing.

This is exactly what I was thinking. Surely someone wanted for murder, and can be caught in a seemingly simple manner, would be dealt with by the police themselves to simply save a hell of a lot of money.

I spoke with the county detective already and he's almost baiting me into finding the last name. He's like "listen man, you find out that last name for me and there's a lot of money involved". The woman doesn't want to rat on him, and it would probably involve her going to jail or at least getting a fine or something for harboring a fugitive, which I frankly don't care about. The guy has lived under the radar for years and it's not just the reward at this point, though I want the money, but regardless it sort of disgusts me that a guy who killed someone is living down the road from me. Apparently the guy is getting medicaid so I might be able to figure something out that way but it could be a stolen identity he's getting the medicaid from. The police are investigating it but the detective is saying he can't just show up at the house looking for the guy with just the information my father and I have given him. The detective took like two weeks from the initial call and told me he searched the first name of the guy all over trying to find out but he just can't pinpoint someone to that house because he's been flying under the radar for so long. The detective calls me like once a week asking if I have a last name on the guy.. they are interested but the ball is on my court. I might call and say I'm from HHS and have a concern with his medicaid or something... as I said I do have his first name. If I were willing to sit on the house for a few hours I could get the plates the guy's van has which the detective said is an option, i.e. he can have a patrol car pull him over, but he said he'd prefer if I got the last name.

^I am still very confused.

Anyway question of my own, i was thinking on this only just know after hearing the term for a long time.
"Don't" means "Do not" correct?

So the sentence "Why don't you go outside" or "Why don't you have an Xbox" is incorrect?
Hear it all the time.
