I won't upload everything right now though, editing 1000+ pictures is somewhat of a chore. The majobrity of the pictures are car-related, so that's why I'll post here. Ne-ways, here's some of what I have.

The most awesome sight was this Chevelle. Not because it was a '67 or anything, but because it was driven by an older woman. I just had to ask her, and she had owned and driven the car since it was new in 1967, "since $4000", like she said it. True survivor!

Don't let your trip fool you. California is NOT the place to live if you're at all interested in driving and modifying a cool car. The state has more rules and regulations on that type of stuff than anywhere else in the country.

Cool pics btw.

You should've come over during a cruise or something. I can imagine you taking two steps on the Pigeon Forge strip and just keeling over if you had waited for the Rod Run.

Nice pics, though. You planning on ever coming over here again?

Lived my whole life pretty much in one State myself. Little travel all in all. When I was just a kid, I'd sit on the fence in our parents yard and watch cars and trucks, and took to drawing them. I showed my drawings here once and just got a "that's disturbing" comment. I'm sure you did well with art as a kid?!? Anyway, I didn't get that, but like most folks, they keep the memories in photo albums and scrapbooks. One school project was to write your own book, and I had a big fix on semi trucks, much like Lurch here, but I seemed to grow out of that, I've also tried Three Wheelers and recreation things like snowmobiles, which I enjoy, and motorbikes, which I like if they're MINIbikes, I don't like full sized cycles.

They scare me

Anyway, because of that, I like cars from more the aesthetic angle then what's under the hood or the suspension. Interior design is important too. the comfort level of driving for hours at a time comes into play.

I like that you seem fond of Cadillac and Chevrolet.
Of all the model kits I ever owned, they all went MIA somewhere, but I have one left... 1966 Chevelle I keep for good reason!!

Thanks for the appriciation guys! smile.gif

@Pat
I am going to do everything I can to move to the United States. I don't want to spend my entire life in this dump, and the trip has made me want to move even more. I've been thinking about calling the US-embassy here in Stockholm for some general tips and information. Wonder how many calls like that they get every week. lol.gif

@Slamman
I agree with what you say there. I guess that's why I love the land-yacths of the 70's, 80's and 90's rather than the overplayed muscle-cars. About Chevrolet and Cadillac, I like all american cars. smile.gif

Don't see too many Daimlers around. Especially Majestic Major Hearses. The 4.5 Hemi is a gem of an engine and makes them quite a beast.

Or would that be a DS420 or a Sovereign?

Definitely wouldn't call one junk...unless you were joking. I have no idea what a ;D means. I mean, I know everything ever made on that island WAS junk, but still.

Detroit is in the northern part of the country, meaning cars rust like there is no tomorrow. Same thing can be said north of the border. sad.gif
