Because.....
it was a lot easier rigging a ped.
Player model need to rig the head, and then body, and hand and so on. Not to mention the bugs, model out of place, not connected to each other.

I don't really know what's the problem it being a ped.

Just try Ryosuke skin mod.
Install, tab +Q, and play with it.
It's not replace any peds, IT ADD NEW PED.

EDIT : Check this

List on the left side is model added on SKIN SELECTOR.
It's add-on actors list. Didn't replace any original ped in SA.
Playable.

Focused on rigging it to GTA IV and fixing ped bugs.

No player models for now.
Edit it yourself with 3ds max, it's easy, right?

When i see a model so great and well done i want to play with it to have fun in gta but now every model is a ped player models are dead ow well i will just have to wait for some cool player models

don't you realise making a player replacement is alot harder? you have to replace every goddamn clothing, head, muscle posture, skinny posture, fat posture.

Still have lots of problem.
- Alpha hair bugs
- Missing eye ( maybe I forgot to attached it)
- Missing mesh
- Badly rigged

And yes, because it had so much rigging bugs.
Bump map didn't working on it

SA version still got some ugly bugs too.
I'll release better SA version after i finished IV version.

IV version is pretty much done. No alpha hair, can't get it fixed.
Still have rigging bug, tried to fixed it, turn out worse.
