Or, in other words, Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All Don't Give A f*ck Litter Life Bacon Boys Loiter Squad Butt f*ck Bitch Niggas.
OFWGKTA has quite a few members, as it consists of a skateboarding team, and quite a few musicians, but as this is the music section of the forum, let's talk about that.
•Tyler, The Creator •Earl Sweatshirt •Hodgy Beats •Left Brain •Syd The Kyd •Frank Ocean •Domo Genesis •Mike G
Also, there are three sub-groups inside of the main collective. •Mellowhype (Which consists of Left Brain and Hodgy Beats) •EarlWolf (Which is Tyler, The Creator and Earl) •Jet Age Of Tomorrow (Which is an electronica type thing, a project of Hal Williams and Matt Martians)

They're dope. But I think that tyler's bastard was his best work, and goblin was more pop, as he became famous. I wouldn't call him a sell-out, but who knows what happens next.
btw, it's my favourite track:

Actually, there's been multiple interviews where Tyler's said the only reason he's doing this is to get a record deal and make a ton of money. Shame, because the only songs I like on Goblin are Radicals and Bitch Suck Dick.
I've actually been finding myself respecting MellowHype and Mike G a TON more lately. Ali is a phenomenal album, and BlackEndWhite just came out and it's amazing.

I can't really blame the dude for being honest. I'm sure one of my main reasons to make an album is to make a wheelbarrow full of money out of it. Besides, he made the beats himself so he gets most of the profits after the record companies and such take their slice. It must feel good to be Tyler right now, or it would, if he'd stop moaning about how sh*tty his life is.
I'm a mixed bag OFWG fan. I'm not so much a fan of their collaborative album, Radical and I tend to sway more towards the smaller groups within the collective, my favourite of which being MellowHype. They actually have a re-issue out next month, so I'm looking forward to that. I'm not an Earl dick sucker like many are either - I mean, yeah, he's talented but all of this surrounding where he is (Samoa) and the "support" from fans just drowns out what was special on his album to me. Then I liked Tyler a lot but I reckon that's because he's more of a wordsmith than the others. Believe it or not, aside from the punchy "Bitches Suck Dick", he's quite the poet. Now, I've moved onto Frank Ocean after hearing his vocals on the Goblin track "She". I was hooked. He isn't the best singer in the group, no, but I loved how it made me feel. Surprisingly moving for an album centred around schizophrenia, abuse, rape, murder and mental illness.
So, yeah, I think in another 12 months we'll be seeing who the real hard-hitters of the group are. I'm hoping Syd Tha Kyd releases her own album, as she handles a lot of the beats for them and think she's got a great sound.

Surprised you don't see the amazing potential, and raw talent in Earl. His album came out when he was 16, and the wordplay is just phenomenal.

Tyler WANTS to sell out. He's said that from day 1. I doubt he'll ever change his style or anything but he's all about the money, and fair play to him. I don't see how any of Goblin was pop.
I was only really a fan of Earl and Tyler before getting into all of their work. But Hodgy is quickly becoming my one of favourite, he is so good on the mic recently from live performances and new songs I've heard. MellowHype - Numbers should be insane, not really looking forward to the BlackendWhite re-release due to tracks not being included because sample clearance and Earls vocals not allowed to be used.
If Earl comes back and continues OF music then goddamn. I think him having such a small catalogue at the moment and the whole Samoa thing just adds to it. He's crazy, not many rappers touch his wordplay. Every verse he has done is quotable:

I'll agree with that. He'll definitely come back, but I think it'll be so swamped with the wrong kind of attention that it won't get the reception that Goblin got, if that makes sense. Sure, fans will see him as more angry, but I can barely stand the fans now and while I'm not one to be bothered or influenced, it's hard to ignore their daft, annoying messages.

where were you on day one when he said the complete opposite of this? or when he went on extensive rants about how much the media sucks at the show in NY last year? tracks like radicals were made for a reason.

Most pussy part of the whole album. It's like he'd gone back on everything he'd said. "Oh, I'm just kidding, stop taking me so seriously".

I'm hungry for greatness," Tyler said in an interview. "I want to be great, I want to be an icon. I want when I die, I want people to cry -- I'm hungry for VMA's and Grammy's, that's what I'm hungry for. You know? F*ck this underground bullsh*t...Greatness is a different definition to different people...Greatness if the f*cking song that I wrote last week, somebody might not find that great but it's great to me. And that's all that matters, what the f*ck I think in my head -- Greatness to me is finally getting my video played on MTV. It's on there now and I'm f*cking, I'm happy. I finally got my sh*t on f*cking MTV and some people may think that's selling out or whatever but I don't really give a f*ck. That's f*cking great to me. I'm proud of myself. I've been wanting that since I was seven years old and I finally got that sh*t. Hard works pays the f*ck off.
WOW, talk about missing the point. I also like how you just admit that you know nothing about them, making your post totally irrelevant. Keep making more sh*tposts though I'm not gonna stop you!

No, I said I know nothing about them, I know enough about Tyler to have every reason to despise him.
Do everyone a favor and actually read and comprehend a post before you make a comment on it.

Hold on let me put on my reading glasses......nope your posts are still garbage.
Remember when tyler said "i'm not homophobic.... faggot"? HAHA YOU MISSED THE POINT. HAHAHA
I'd attempt to actually turn this into an intelligent conversation, but it's apparent all you'd do is post stupid quotes and insult me so I won't bother.
Another reason to dislike OFWGKTA, the fans, thanks for that.
