I won $250 thanks to my boss's church lottery(I only play because I like to contribute). I got my winnings today and felt the need for something frivolous, so I picked up an Air Hog Hawk Eye - new from ebay.
My Air Hog - Hawk Eye came today, and I must say it is pretty cool. I have a sh*t ton of air hogs and other mini helicopters. I also have 2 mid size rc copters - so I'm pretty used to handling smaller rc copters.
The cool thing with the Hawk Eye is it isn't like a copter. It really is just flying around a camera. It handles all different and everything. I'm sure I'll have a good example film to show after the weekend. I know you are all so excited .
Oh and I finally walked the extra 2 minutes on my way home to stop for MP3(360) today. Just taking my first break now .

Yup, I quoted myself.
I'm going to post my little test video here. Sure, it might really belong in the video thread, but since it was made with one of my last purchases and people might be curious as to the quality before buying an Air Hog - Hawk Eye themselves, I figured I'd just leave it here.
Some may know my office is generally a sh*thole. It is extra bad now because I'm in the middle of a complete re-do. Don't make fun of my mess. Oh and all the beer boxes are for storage. I may drink a lot of beer, but not THAT many.
Very low lighting in here = kinda crappy video quality.
Since I'm on a road trip round the south of the US I finally decided to splurge out on a new camera. I've always had just a point and shoot which has been nice but really not enough zoom/features. So since I have my credit card I just said what the hell. Got a Nikon D3100 and couldn't be happier. Just setting it up right now. But cant wait until I go out and test it about in the swamps.
