I think I had this game installed on my PC twice. I don't remember about the first time, but the second time which was more recent, I was thinking of giving the game another try. The concept seemed pretty nice and the cars as I remembered were nice. It was only after the long sh*tty pretentious pre-rendered cutscene that I realized how bad the game was. The cars looked great but the rest...holy god damn sh*t, the graphics in the first Mafia were better, hell the graphics in GTA III looked more realistic and those games were released years ago. Anyway, I decided to not mind the graphics hoping that the game would have a decent story and gameplay, that was until I got to the garage to enter the car and drive to the police station. I entered the car, I tried to drive the car using WASD, then the arrow keys and even the numeric pad. None of that worked. At this point I was thinking that there must be something wrong with the game, but I went to check the control settings just in case and I found out that the assholes who programmed the game made a control scheme that makes no sense. They used some random keys for controlling the car that you don't see in any other game. So at this point my experience with the game was pretty much f*cked. However, I persevered. I started the first few missions if I remember correctly. Just a bunch of lame police chases, the Vigilante missions in the GTA games were more fun. At this point I decided to give up and I deleted the game. Didn't care what the rest of the game was like, never played it again.

| QUOTE (Racecarlock @ Monday, Apr 2 2012, 18:55) | | Every day the same dream. It's literally a game where you go to work repeatedly, and there are 5 whole ways you can mix it up on the journey. 5 whole ways! I mean, sure, GTA IV will let you at any moment get out of your car and shot 900 people to death before blowing up 346 cars and slaughtering half the police force, but Every Day The Same Dream lets you pet a cow! And have a homeless man take you to a graveyard! And catch a leaf! And commit suicide! And go to work in your underwear! Yep, that's the extent of the ways you can mix it up in every day the same dream. By triggering certain cutscenes with the space bar or walking in to them. I'm not going to spoil the ending if you still want to play it, but if you're not the kind of analytical artistic mind that loves deciphering endings like this game has, the ending will just suck. It makes grand theft auto 4 look cheerful. And open. | It not really a game though is it, its more of an interactive piece of art. Music's good.

The worst games I played were probably on Newgrounds, but they don't qualify for this topic (and probably aren't worth explaining).
Some of the worst games I've played in the last few years (in order of non-quality): 5: Any Tony Hawk Pro Skater Game (after Underground)- Underground 2, and american Wasteland were okay, but still cheesy, but anything after American Wasteland isn't even worth $5. 4: Sonic Heroes- I thought it would be okay to play because it was before Sonic 4, but it was cheesy, boring, and far too easy. 3: Call of Duty: World At War- I bought this after playing Nazi Zombies at my cousin's house, and because it was cheap. The story was wonderul, but as with any Call Of Duty game it lasted a day, and multiplayer is broken without any sign of caring from Treyarch. 2: The Sims 3- I appreciate the realism that this game brought to the sims, but in order to have as much fun as everyone else I have to spend $30 on every new expansion pack. The game's realism also made it incredibly boring compared to the last two games (that's why it's so low on this list). Oh, and now I have Securom on my computer. 1: Pokemon Heartgold/Soulsilver- This is also a bit low on the list (it's probably out of order anyways), but that's because this brings disgrace in large amounts onto the Pokemon series. My Pokemon HAD to follow me, I had to play minesweeper for weeks to get casino coins, and Kanto felt soulless.

Yep, you don't sound like a butthurt loser at all who fails at playing games and thus calls them bad.
Nice review | Uh,thanks I guess. I mean, the game could be a lot different to you or I could suck crap at it but the aiming on this game was terrible just about everything for this. You can go buy it or try it out,but It's not that really of a good game in my opinion.

Pimp my ride |
Oh god, you have no idea how much I hated this game. I got it for my PSP for a buy one, get one free thing at GameStop back in Christmas 2008. I still remember this game a lot from all my frustration, and I can conclude that it was the worst PSP game I think I have ever played. Here's why: 1. Really short time limits. You'd have to go across the entire map to get to the closest place where you can add modifications to the car, while avoiding cars that make you stop completely once you touch them. If you didn't hit any of the cars, then you'd hit a guard rail which would slow you down to a standstill as well. 2. Extremely unbalanced competition. By the time I've gotten the maximum of three modifications added to the car, the sudden competitor who has an exact copy of the person's car already has every possible mod on it. It is impossible to get more than the competitor who goes twice the speed as you and goes picture-perfect through the traffic. 3. No f*cking episode in the history of Pimp My Ride depicts a cloning of the car being pimped and having some random asshole drive around Los Angeles making as many modifications as he possibly can in two minutes. God that game is a horrible memory of my childhood. I'm glad I'll never have to see it again (I broke the UMD in half after being extremely frustrated). EDIT: @GtaOutKast Conflict: Vietnam is an awful game. Either you're in first-person mode and can't see any traps around you with the gun blocking your view, or you go in third-person view to get awful aim while the enemy has dead-eye aim and kills you in an instant. Your squad NEVER follows you properly either, they just get stuck at a corner somewhere and never actually help you because their bullets don't do anything. In one mission where I had to escape a village before it was bombed, it gets bombed unbeknownst to you before you even reach the halfway point, and by then everyone except one person falls while you're surrounded by 20 enemies with you having no cover. Terrible game. This post has been edited by Los Santos Pedestrian on Monday, Apr 2 2012, 22:57

How do you do it? | Press space to exit the car, then walk all the way to the left, then when the cow screen comes up, go to the cow, pet the cow, go back to your car, and continue your journey to work. Enjoy the ending. Thank god I didn't pay money for this game.

WOW! Gran turismo 5 is a great game.. maybe it had issues when it was first released but its awesome now, have you played it after the patches? if you didn't then go play it, believe me its the best racing game ever! On Topic: Call of Duty: Black ops everything about it is awful.. i dont know why do people like it |
Because it's COD? Actually Black Ops is my favourite COD. The story was pretty good IMO.
In regards to GT5 I was more disappointed than anything. I've been a GT fan since 97 and didn't think it was worth the 5 year wait. Don't get me wrong it's a good game and has some cool concepts like dynamic weather, but when I was younger I used play GT until I wore the disc out. GT5 lost my interest pretty quick.
To me it felt like GT 4.5. I'm a Forza man now. |
No, not really.. i just hated the game, it was very short, has bad graphics, and a sh*tty story, what made me hate it even more is my friends coming over to my house play that goddamn zombie mode, its really boring, i dont know how can they play that mode everyday, i tried to get into the game but i couldn't, i used to like COD back in the PS2 day when it wasnt that popular now the COD series has a sh*tty annual release with the games having little to no improvment since COD 4, the only FPS games i liked this gen are Killzone 2&3 i'm not really into FPS games but i liked Killzone, i like the story, not the multiplayer though (i'm more of a singleplayer guy) as for Gran Turismo 5 i prefer it over Forza, i tried to get myself into forza when i didnt have a PS3 (back in 2009) but i couldn't i find it really arcady compared to the GT series, but whatever floats your boat i guess.. i respect your opinion This post has been edited by Gtaghost22 on Tuesday, Apr 3 2012, 13:17

For the sandbox and action/driving genre, my worst encounters are
True Crime: Streets of LA I forced myself through hours of boring missions, a poorly executed attempt at a hand-to-hand combat system, and a massively repetitive, dull map just to get to the end of the game and find myself fighting a f*cking dragon (or whatever it was). I was so pissed I didn't even bother beating it.
Driv3r I think they went way overboard including 3 cities in the game when the maps were glitchy as hell and the gameplay suffered so badly. Why even bother with on-foot action in the game when it's this sh*tty? Tanner handled like a wet turd and he grunted like he was taking it up the ass every time you made him jump, and he jumped like a fairy too. Enemy AI was non-existent. The actual driving was ok e.g. powersliding made if fun, but it was out-shined by all the other f*ckups in the game.
Saints Row 2 Both PC and 360 versions. These devs thought they were really going to beat Rockstar at their own game by trying to one-up everything SA did. What they didn't seem to grasp was that IV would be a truly ground-breaking step forward. Trying to play SR2 after playing IV felt like I had picked up some last gen piece of crap that fell flat on it's face in every way possible. Car handling, character mechanics, graphics, AI and everything else were just incredibly bland if not full-blown sh*t. Not to mention I hated the whole hip-hop "gangsta" theme that felt so generic, whereas SA did it and did it right.
For FPSes
Bioshock I really couldn't see the appeal of this one. Sure it had some cutting edge graphics at the time, but the gameplay just felt tedious and repetitive. I hated the respawning chambers or whatever they're called. And the boss fights weren't as hard as they were boring. The story was crap too. I never finished it, so I may give it another chance sometime, but I don't think my opinion will change much.
