I had a dream where I was tied to a tree with a rope, and a guy in dark robes was feeding me mayonnaise, and the funny thing is I don't even like mayonnaise..

Ha. I wonder what's up with mayonnaise in dreams. I actually had a nightmare where a man tied me to a wheelchair and rolled me into a pit full of mayonnaise to drown.

My sister had a weird dream where a lunchbox came to life and killed our whole family. I'm not sure if mayonnaise was a part of the lunch it was carrying though.

There's some dreams I had from years and years ago that involved cars, before I had a fetish for them.

One of them was when I was about 4 or 5, when my mom still drove a red 1992 Dodge Caravan. The dream was about me getting in to the Dodge, and then we were suddenly in a dense forest with some sort of mindf*cking canyon that was at least 2,000 feet high. Yeah, I don't understand it either.

Then when I was about 6 I had another dream where my bus driver was an unstable psychotic killer and drove the bus at the fastest speed possible until it flipped over and exploded.

Another was when I was about 8; it was where I was living in Plymouth, Vermont (which I really was at the time), and my family and I went to the Calvin Coolidge birthplace or whatever and then we went home. Suddenly, the driveway to my house was about half a mile long, and out Toyota Sienna minivan could go 200+ miles per hour and its braking distance was just about 300 feet. To make matters more strange, it could reverse as fast as it could go in gear. And then my dad (who was driving), again drove up the driveway and crashed into out house, which is where I woke up.

I had a dream where I was in a building completely made of glass, and I was in Liberty City (GTA IV graphics and all!), and some Chinese gangsters were swinging at me with a bat. Something in my head told me to take a hit, and I sort of knew I wouldn't feel anything (actually in the dream I was sort of controlling some guy from a 3rd-person perspective), and yet I couldn't put myself in the way because I didn't want to see the guy get hurt.

I looked up the meaning for fun, and I know a lot of you probably think dream meanings are bullsh*t, so I put it in spoiler tags to not offend anyone who has a stick up their ass. Being beaten in a dream is supposed to represent emotional beatings, apparently dreaming of bad people attacking you with a baseball bat means you're conflicting with yourself over thinking thoughts about sabotaging yourself, and glass houses apparently represent falling for flattery.

I also have a dream that pops up every once in a while where I'm in a boat ride based on Norway, and one room is dark and stormy, and the sky is a big dome with dark blue/black swirly clouds of evil and lightning, and everyone collects in the room in a giant whirlpool. In order to get out of the room you have to swim away from the whirlpool, but I can never jump into the water to do it.

I'm too lazy to look up a meaning for this one.

Since my twelfth birthday, I have had haunting Lucid Dreams that have caused me to wake up either crying, sweating or vomiting. I have been haunted for years by two figures in my dreams which look very similar to these two:

Yes, it resembles The Slender Man, however the thing that bothered me is he looks strikingly familiar to the thing that has been in ALOT of my nightmares. The second one is:

This guy I see is extremely overweight, he wears dark bloodstained dungarees and his face is very similar to that one Him and the Tall man are usually seen together.

I went for psychiatric analysis, REM surveillance, tests, CT, MRI and they found nothing wrong with me. However whenever two of them would physically hurt me I'd wake up with pain wherever they'd touched. It's crazy.

I've been getting sleep paralysis increasingly often over the past few months. The firts time I had it was about a year ago then didn't have it again until february this year, I've had it another 2 times since then and each time it gets more creepy and out of control. I didn't hallucinate until the third time I had it where I could see a hand coming in through my window trying to grab me. I hear you can have out of body experiences from sleep prarlysis which sounds cool but i'd rather just be able to sleep normally.

I know this isn't really about dreams but it fits in here more than anywhere else I can think of.

On the contrary I try to induce sleep paralysis. Sometimes when I get it I puss out on the last moment (the feeling is so weird).

This is true, I've attempted it many times in search of those illusive lucid dreams and out of body experiences (must be really strange) but the strange, spinning feeling you get when on the very cusp of paralysis shocks you back to almost full consciousness no matter how prepared you are for it. It's like a barrier; quite frustrating.

I've never had sleep paralysis though.

That is sleep paralysis on the most basic level, when your mind is awake but your body is still asleep. I had this type of sleep paralysis where I was conscious and just lying there unable to move for at least 20 minutes, it was boring as f*ck let me tell you that.

I don't mind having it when there is something interesting happening, like the hallucinations for example, it used to scare me but now when it happens I'm aware of my situation so it becomes more like a psychedelic experience. The fact is that most of the time it happens I just wake up but can't move. Still would like to have an out of body experience though I have no idea how to turn sleep paralysis into one. I have read however that achieving an out of body experience through sleep prarlysis can lead to extremely traumatic experiences through the demon-like nature of sleep paralysis.

I don't really think it was sleep pralaysis. I could blink, speak, move my arms and such.
I think it might've been just some trapped blood or something. The feeling came back after a few minutes.

On the subject of sleep paralaysis--

I recently watched a short film by Stephen King where a guy got bitten by a rattle snake and the venom paralysed him. And people thought he was dead and at first they thought he had a heart attack. Anyway, he was basically lying on an autospy table unable to speak or move about to be operated on. biggrin.gif

I had a funny dream last night but also kind of a shocking one too, literally, haha.

I had a dream that our class went on a holiday to Vegas. I was at some casino looking for a woman for reasons that I can't remember and all of a sudden I had a heart attack or something. It felt pretty real, I was sort of suffocating and fell to the ground. Now the perspective switched to 3rd person and I could see myself lying on the ground. My classmates gave me two shots (injections), one they called adrenaline shot and the other I don't know, and they wanted to give me a third one but I told them to stop. The needles were pretty big and they injected the stuff straight into my neck, I could actually feel the pain.

The rest of the dream I spent walking around feeling dizzy and breathing hard, kind of reminded me about one time when I got electrocuted pretty badly I could barely breathe and my heart was beating like crazy. After I woke up I was all sweaty and relieved that I was actually healthy. I never had any dreams like that, where I could feel pain like that. I did dream being shot a couple of times or falling off buildings but there was no pain.

I've actually gotten aware of my dreams, and can control them while in them, and remember them when i wake up. I can control when i wake up, i do it like i'm sleeping in a dream, i lay down on the floor in my dreams and repeat "wake up, wake up" and close my eyes, so then i 'wake up' in reality. Freaky stuff, but i can control my dreams so perfectly.

I dreamt last night that I was fighting in a war and the General was my old ex-English teacher.

All I remember of this dream is being in a field with many other soldiers by a river, firing at the enemy using one of those rocket launcher vehicles, and after wiping out said enemy swimming across the river and climbing up a steep and muddy hill that I was the only one to be able to climb to the top of. After climbing to the top of the hill this dream then diverted course and the location was now an exotic hotel with many swimming pools and people everywhere in beachwear. Just when I was beginning to enjoy the relaxation the General yelled out and a storm front began to approach the hotel sending everyone into a mass panic. The soldiers then returned and I can remember someone constantly yelling "Get to the storm shelters!" whilst a tornado siren was blaring in the distance.
And then I woke up. Damn it I was enjoying that dream too. confused.gif

I have insomnia, so I take ambiens to help it. My god, it gives me the most f*cked up dreams conceivable.
My favorite stand-up comedian can explain it better than any man ever could, so you might want to watch this video first.

Watched it? Good. Now, onto the dream.

Remember this beforehand, though: I took some of the pills and washed them down with alcohol, something which you're apparently not supposed to do.

I had this dream where I was abducted by aliens (I know, very original) and they all had the face of my pug, Grendel. They all spoke spanish, and interviewed me about something. They asked me how to "Fly the dragon". I had no clue what was going on, so I got up and fell down something, which lead to a black, empty, void. It changed into those tie dye spirally things that you see when listening to music on windows media player. I felt both sensations of awe and horror. Then I felt a thud against my entire body, and it felt like being in an earthquake all over again. I stared up into the light blue sky, somewhat devoid of a sun but still light out. Then clouds came in out of nowhere, and made out the face of Jim Morrison (my favorite rockstar. Google it). He keeps shrieking like he did at the Miami concert.

BOOM!

I wake up shirtless on the floor at about eight AM.

That was the wildest one, of the many f*cked up dreams I get. More to come indefinitely.

The other night I was getting sleep paralysis again, but I couldn't breathe when it happened. I wouldn't fell asleep for an hour since I would paralise and stop breathing. Not a nice feeling.
I woke up, walked around. And returned to bed, didn't get any others.

Lock this thread straightway if there is another like this.

Post your dreams & scary Nightmares

Like the title says post your dreams in this topic, but please don't post fake dreams lets get serious and post real ones.

I will start by posting one of mine
In my dream I saw that my mum & dad have been killed and their zombies are coming after me. In fact the whole world was over-populated by zombies the only real guys were me and my school-mate Shamal. It was really scary. Me and Shamal were running in the dark alleys of Colombo (the capital of Sri Lanka). We were followed by about 80 zombies and they were coming with axes and grass-cutters in their flesh-less arms. Shamal tripped and fell while running away from the hideous beasts and I tried to save him but I couldn't the zombies got him and me. I closed my eyes and ..............Well I woke up, I was seating and my heart was beating 100 miles per hour. It was about 2:45 a.m in the morning. That really scared me....

Maybe I saw this dream because I watched the movie I am Legend which have zombies in it. smile.gif
