I hope Dany dies, her chapters are both confusing and boring (I cannot differentiate Ghiscari characters with there weird names). Since I'm pretty sure Jon Snow is "the prince who was promised", she isn't needed in the grand scheme of things. Melissandre can probably use her powers to heal Jon, so I'm not terribly worried about him dying.

The only character I really hope doesn't get killed off in The Winds of Winter is Tyrion, his chapters are way too good.

I'm going to throw my predictions out here for what comes next...

At The Wall: Melissandre saves Jon, Roose kills Stannis, Selyse kills Melissandre for her false predictions, one thing leads to another and Jon Snow saves the world and is actually the prince who was promised.

With Aegon and Jon Connington: Connington ends up infecting Aegon with greyscale, killing him. The Golden Company breaks up soon after.

In Essos: Dany dies, Victarion claims her dragons, one thing leads to another and the dragons help fight at the wall. Tyrion makes his way back to Westeros

In King's Landing: The Lannisters remain in power until the Tyrell's overthrow them. The Tyrells are then weakened by Dorne, preventing them from maintaining power. The Empire reverts back to 7 independant kingdoms. Jaime becomes lord of Casterly Rock.

I agree with most of your predictions although I don't think Dany dies because I think she has plot armor. Martin has invested a lot of time into her and I think she at least sees Westeros. I realistically cant see her death until A Dream Of Spring if at all.

I agree that Roose kills Stannis, but I think Ramsey dies in the battle of Winterfell. I also think Lord Walder Frey lives too past TWoW. I just cant see Martin killing all the villains in one book.

So how do you guys think Arya, Sansa, and Lady Stonehearts story plays out? Just curious?

You know who needs to be cast as Mance? f*cking Ian McShane, that's who. As awesome as West is, I want him to be someone younger. McShane would be f*cking perfect.

I'm still not over Brutus being cast as Edmure and Paul Kaye as Thoros of Myr. They're not bad choices, just a bit unexpected.

Tobias Menzies has a kind of Lordly presence. Unexpected but I expect him to be awesome.

West's age was something I was thinking about. He hardly looks like a veteran soldier who's been evading the Night's Watch in the wilderness for years. Ian McShane would be a great alternative.

Think I read somewhere that the actor is due to start filming in September. He's almost definitely coming back. Going to be interesting how they keep that little secret going, doesn't really translate as well from book to screen. Selmy has some pretty massive scenes in the forthcoming books, there's no way they can cut him. The actor was a pretty good sport about it to be honest, disappearing for a whole season and glaldy coming back.

Same goes for Lord Beric. Although, he only made a very brief appearance in the first season, and I have no clue if he's going to be played by the same actor.

The thing is most of that stuff happens at the very end of the book. It's got it's good parts, but it just doesn't live up to the previous books. And the fact that you don't see or hear from half the main characters adds to the hate.

I don't think we will see Ser Barristan The Bold until Season 4 since he doesn't really come back into the books until late in Storm Of Swords.

@ GTA-King: It's a great series and I'd recommend the books as well.

@ Starz: Season 3 is going to be epic. I can't wait to see the reaction to some of the big events coming.

He comes back at the end of A Clash of Kings. But is only revealed to be Barristan, toward the end of Storm of Swords.

Dany first meets him as she's fleeing Qarth, on the dockside. Someone tries poisoning her and Arstan and Belwas (who I hope they don't cut!) save her. Seeing as she all but fled Qarth at the end of last season, I bet we'll see Artsan pretty early in the forthcoming season.

Anyone buying into the (book) speculation that Pate, in his 'current' form is Jaqen H'ghar? Pate bit down on the alchemist's coin, much like Arya knew that one guy would bite on his coin and died. Now someone is using his face - presumably a faceless man. Apparently the alchemist who gave Pate the coin had the same scar, hair and nose as Jaqen. I thought that was an interesting theory. Why would the Braavosi be interested in Oldtown or Sam?

I hope Strong Belwas isn't cut. He is such a badass in the siege of Meereen, when he fights the city's champion. But I can see them giving Arstan or Jorah his moments.
