Bit of a relaxed premiere, thought they could of done a small re-cap of whats happened in the past season, but did well to introduce the multiple strands of the storyline
Surprised by the Stannis character, seems like bit of an asshole, but still likeable. Anyone care to explain the old man dying scene with the wine? Is the woman in red a witch? Joffrey is still the evil little bastard, the guy that plays him is perfectly cast as an inbred little bitch.
The guy that marries his daughters and is overly protective of them, what's his deal? Seems like a f*cked up character.
Best scene was Rob Stark putting the king slayer in his place, nice to see the direwolves getting more attention too, can't wait for the next episode.

Yes, she's something of a sorceress. Her "powers" will become more apparent as the season progresses. The trick with the wine never becomes fully apparent even in the book, we are just lead to believe that she's grown immune to poisons and such. Or knowing her, she'd probably say that the "Lord of Light" was protecting her. Strange lady, creepy as f*ck.
I had goosebumps during the direwolf dream sequence. Holy f*ckballs have they nailed that. Great to see it included.
I'm also loving all the hate for Jaime Lannister. I f*cking love that guy. In time, I predict others will too

This has to be the best show I've seen in quite sometime.
The guy that marries his daughters to make more daughters, I hope something dreadful happens to him.
Regarding the spoiler: If the next episode has the revelation that I think it has, you'll say that twice.
EDIT: by the way, where would I have seen the actor playing Ser Dontos? I know he was on an episode of Life's too Short, but he looked familiar even then.

I could watch the second episode on HBO OD, but I don't see the benefit of doing that. I don't think anyone should watch it unless you have to be away somewhere next week when it airs.

Yeah, regarding that, it seems that the show is taking a lot of the gruesome and/or action stuff from the books that occured "off-page" as it were and putting them to screen. We're going to see the fate of Craster's boys, something that was only heavily suggested in the book. I'd put money on us seeing Jaime's escape attempt too.
@darkYENIK: The guy who plays Ser Dontos has been around on British TV quite a while doing the odd character acting work. Minor characters, extras etc. I vaguely remember him being in a sitcom called My Family, think he played a cop in that. Recently he was in the movie The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo as Lisbeth's hacking partner guy (I think that's "Plague", or so I remember from the Swedish version).

Thanks for explaining this SIKKS, seems like Stannis is under some sort of spell then maybe.
Can't wait for the next episode, might get the book and read as the show goes along.

Yeah, I looked up his IMDB, and I think I recognize him from Spaced, which I was watching a couple weeks ago...
Who ever has read the books. Can you clarify this for me? Don't read this if you haven't read the 3rd book. I don't know if it is from the 3rd book but it is a major twist. Well I think it is. Does Tyrion really marry Sansa?

One thing that really bugged me was Jaime cowering from the Dire wolf, dude's supposed to be f*cking fearless.
so I guess you wouldn't even flinch if a huge wolf was lunging towards you with its mouth open while you're tied to a pole.
you're quite the bad ass
Sorry I didn't realise I was a fictional character apart of the Song of Ice and Fire series. My understanding form the books is Jaime fears nothing and that was the point I was trying to make.

The second episode was FANTASTIC. Did anyone else love the scene between Tyrion and the guard captain?
I know there's been torrents of episode 2 knocking about since it became available on HBO Go but I aint too impressed with the quality. Apparently the dothraki translation is missing too or something? Will wait a couple days I guess.
Happy Arya's going to be back. Her story was probably the best parts of book 2. Valar morghulis.
I'm gonna' go ahead and say right now that people just should just refrain from talking about leaked episodes. or if they do, they should use spoiler tags as if they were talking about the books.
I refuse to illegally download anything that I respect (which is why the only pirating I do is for Microsoft products ) which means I'll never download or watch a leaked copy of a Games of Thrones episode. call me crazy but I'll wait the extra few days in order to experience this show the way it was meant to be experienced; in 1080p on my flatscreen with 7.1 Dolby surround, sitting comfortably on the couch with my girl, our dog, some snacks, and a 3-chambered water bong.

I literally just read that chapter, and came here to say I can't wait for that episode. And to see the Bloody Mummers. I hope they show the guy that does the puppet act with severed heads.
But yeah, I completely agree about Arya's story being the most interesting. Most of the rest of the book is drama and suspense with some action. But Arya's story is pretty much non-stop adventure.
Anyway, the second episode is on HBO Go? Got to check it out now.

Meh I've bought all the books and a bunch of random merch for the series. If I'd rather watch a high quality download than an equally high quality one on my TV with sh*tty watermarks in the corner and adverts every 10 minutes, I will And then I'll buy the boxsets when they come out.
But yeah, goes without saying about the spoilers, I think we're all pretty good in this thread regarding spoilers.
@darthYENIK: Yeah the Bloody Mummers are a dastardly bunch. Hope they get all the personalities in there. Interested to see Vargo Hoat on screen, he won't be anywhere near as wicked as I have him in my mind
