I'm the smartest out of all my friends, and generally people at parties. Everytime I'm at parties with these bunch of people, it just encourages me to study more so I don't end up like them. If they ask me to smoke or something, I just think about a luxury apartment I'll be having when I'm a rich Architect, and that wins my mind so I reject. I don't care they think of me, since they don't really care but yeah.

Haha, same here bro. Although I do drugs, it never really corrupted my mind, nor twisted my perception.

Me doing drugs was my own choice, and I intend to keep it that way. The only thing I got suckered into were cigarettes, which I can't seem to shake off now.

My friends sometimes do coke, and one guy's even hooked on heroin, and they tried to persuade me a million times, but I simply reject them.

Never do sh*t your friends do to fit in, if they don't accept you for who you are, they're not really your friends.

I ve never smoke anything until now and i dont think i will need to smoke to feel better... Go do something better for yourself!

I consider peer pressure to be a human error in our minds, it's something that is nearly uncontrollable if you are mentally weak, but yet it is an instinct... you look at something that people say is wrong to try yet you want it real bad, then when you're friends encourage you to do it when your Mom or Dad say don't touch it, but yet you have this feeling... then that feeling could submerge into a reality and the next thing you know you're life will be going down hill, very... slowly, if you make these wrong decisions.

I've known of people who have been weak in their decisions, and it has led them to the worse in life.

Not to derail off the topic but some people have offered me alcohol, even though that is accepted in social aspects of the modern world, it wouldn't be my thing, have drank it; just not my thing. Just saying.

My goal is to try and be a living example that weed is not a gateway drug. I have been around the harder stuff like coke and heroin many times, have had friends who have done them and have attempted to pressure me into doing them, but the desire has never been there for me. That said, I've also had a lot of friends that have severely f*cked their lives up from poor choices and many of them ended up in rehab or jail at one point or another. Seeing their failures has definitely encouraged me to continue pursuing this goal.

Peer pressure is easy to recognize and avoid. The difficulty is in realizing when your peers are being complete morons, so that you know to avoid those behaviors in the first place.

Honestly, lets say you never played COD before and you never plan to. You want to stick with GTA. One of your friends is convincing you to try MW2 out over and over. You'll say Fine, i'll just try it.
But when drugs are involved people consider peer pressure a completely different subject for some reason, as if its some horrible way or changing who you are. All your doing is trying something new, and with things like Pot and Alcohol theirs really no harm to it.

Trying new things is an important part of life and friends are there to help you through it. That's how I see this "peer pressure" bullsh*t your teachers and parents tell you about.

I get you on this. I get constantly dumped on by everyone, selling me the gateway theory.

Don't get me wrong, I've tried harder drugs, but haven't made a habit out of it, and it was mostly me persuading my friends.

As I said, the only time I was persuaded into doing something, it was cigarettes, and I despise myself for doing so. It's a sickly habit and I hate the moment when I let the first one upon my lips.
