| QUOTE (Zee @ Sep 19 2010, 23:33) | | in my own personal cannon Toni Cipriani killed Cj before the begining of LCS and thats why he went into hiding but thats just my own f*cked up version of the story |
At first, I was convinced that it could've been a possibility when you said this. Now, I'm having my doubts. I haven't played LCS but if I'm not wrong, Toni had killed a made-man of the Leones for Salvatore and fled from LC to lay low. Now, I might be wrong but if this is true, things get a bit confusing. Firstly, why would Salvatore make CJ, of all people, a made-man? Secondly, after killing a guy in SA, if Toni wanted to run away from that area and hide, then LC was the best hiding spot. He could even hide in SA, considering there were 3 cities where he could hide but LC would definitely be the better choice. He'd be far from SA, where nobody might track him down, and he would be living in his home-town. So, if Toni had killed CJ (a guy from SA), then why would he run away from LC instead of hiding there? That's really cool!
I love the GTA series. It's amazing how all of the games are interwoven. I started with SA last year after being bitten by the gaming bug, and have slowly been working my way through all of them. ! is very frustrating, and have given up on getting very far into it, though playing it made me laugh. I'm still looking for II, and will get IV as soon as possible. |
I know I'm a little late on this conversation, but just to let you know, you can download II for free off of Rockstar's website. It is completely legal/legit. They put that along with the original GTA up for download a while back.

On the show with the two guys parodying Steve Jobs and Bills Gates, there's a caller named Denise who is going on about how bad the Internet is and ends the call talking about killing her boyfriend with an axe.
Could that be Denise Robinson and CJ? |
in san andreas, we find out that the mute person goes to liberty city with catalina (GTA III) and that was when salvatore swore to kill CJ. LCS is way before GTA III. so in order of time, it was first LCS, San Andreas, then GTA III.
Hope i helped | no actually, the correct time order is San Andreas, LCS, and III

Near the end of GTA: San Andreas (or after the end of, depending on when you do the Caligula heist), Salvatore Leone gives CJ a call, telling him that he will murder him, his family, and his friends.
Now, Salvatore is a man with influence. Even though he was dealt a blow in Las Venturas, he was still strong in Liberty City until his death in 2001. GTA San Andreas took place in 1992, so there were nine years between his threat and his death, so anything could have happened.
I don't think the Leones would take control of Los Santos, as we never hear anything about that during GTAIII. But I think it to be very likely that they would assassinate CJ and Sweet and pretty much rub out the Grove. Maybe even Cesar and Kendl.
So CJ could have been killed by the Leones. But here's another theory:
During Interdiction, Mike Toreno mentions that CJ is now wanted by the government, and Russians want to interrogate him, even though it's not their highest priority. However, CJ has done a lot to sabotage the government, like during Stowaway, or Black Project, and pretty much all of Toreno's missions.
So another possibility is that CJ was eventually arrested or killed by the government.
Thoughts?

Okay then, just for the sake of completion, here's the full list:
1984 - GTA Vice City Stories 1986 - GTA Vice City 1992 - GTA San Andreas 1997 - GTA1 1998 - GTA Liberty City Stories 2001 - GTAIII 2013 - GTA2
Anyways, on a different note, don't forget that CJ also had government agents after him. Toreno says in Interdiction that Russian investigators are asking for permission to capture and interrogate him. Plus, don't forget how CJ sabotaged the government.
- He stole a valuable truck that was important to a government agency - He shot down several helicopters from the government in order to protect a drug package - He supplied one of Toreno's men with equipment - He entered a government plane and killed everyone on board and blew it up - He stole a multi-million dollar black project from the best protected secret lab in the world, Area 69 - He collected mysterious green liquid from the government - He stole a fighter jet from a government assault ship and then used it to blow up government ships - And if you include beta stuff, he killed off a lot of FBI agents to protect The Truth from being captured
So yeah, that's a big list. The government would definitely want to assassinate him, or at least capture and torture him. So that's the Leones who are after CJ, plus the government. Sure Grove Street is a big street gang, and with the Varrios Los Aztecas backing them up they have quite some numbers, but not enough to stand against such a force.

| QUOTE (sonnyBlack @ Apr 30 2011, 06:20) | Good points, JustRob, but CJ did do all that single-handedly. I feel he'd be too bad of a motherf*cker to be brought down by Sal or even the government, especially if they try to take him on in his stronghold in Ganton. They'd have to get through his gang first and whatever back up from the Aztecas and Mountain Cloud Boys too. And then try to take him down face to face.
I know that's terribly unrealistic thinking, but CJ's capable of some hardcore stuff as we all seen in the game. Perhaps I'm overestimating his capabilities, but the dude even managed to get into Area 69 with the military on full patrol. And after killing mostly everybody, he makes out with the 60 million dollar goods. The man's a beast! | I don't know if the Triads would help Carl out. He and Woozie are friends, sure, but would they interfere if the government was after him? I think they might find that a tad risky and hang back. But yeah, he did do all that, but most of them he accomplished because of the element of surprise. Nobody expected one guy to infiltrate their top-secret bases. I don't know about him stealing the Black Project. Sure, CJ is powerful as hell, but weren't they just underestimating him? Carl needs to have some sort of weakness. They could kidnap his brother and force him to surrender.
