I remember a few months back GIMS had a problem in material editor in which everyone demanded a reversion to old material editor and such... There were other miscellaneous problems as well in which people wished they had old GIMS backed up so that they can used it instead.

My point... colgate.gif I have not been tagging this thread as much nowadays, so have this all been resolved? smile.gif

I have two problems with shader blend, the first is that i use the brushes his lagg a lot, i can not even use it.
the second is when i save a scene with a blend shader, when i open this scene, and i want to edit the shader blend, it makes me directX_9_shader, unknown material convert to gtaIV material ?

and you could add an option to rename the cars at random the names of gta IV cars ? the name ""random"" , never worked for me.

1) Unselect the "Paint" button or just close the editor before saving(don't save while Paint or Shader Preview mode's active!).
It can lag because your model has too high polycount - I'm thinking about an optimization.

2) "random" hasn't worked for me too - looks like you must create zone boxes and set traffic groups somehow(really don't know).
You can just rename the car to any car model name you like - it'll spawn.

That seems a little useless, because current car placeholder'll spawn only one car - not as the random generator...would be better if someone'll research how the random generator working.

yes but for that random does not work, it would be nice if you could do, when we did 70 rename each car, its been long confused.gif and it's easy to do .

3Doomer, consider to add support for IPl files, especially 2dfx section.

scenarios.ipl for exmaple is very inetresting, you can place peds that do something.

EDIT: I just found out, you can rename .ipl to .ide and it imports fine. It's the same format, at least 2dfx is.
None the less you could add a ipl import button.

Scenarios don't do sh*t ingame. Changing it i mean, i tried, does not affect those peds you see in some places


The sax players and music playing in some places are a huge myster to me.


3doomer: Would you know anything about this, i'm interested in how R* made music played in interiors , hardcoded?

Don't know.
I've only noticed that one of 2DFX sections uses scenarios ped groups, but haven't checked how it works.
